Kaman the odd man out?

Post#1 » by Miras » Fri Nov 21, 2008 11:00 pm

1st of all congrats are in order.
I think that Randolph will bring alot of intangibles to ur team, he will help spread the floor for Baron and ur other guards to be able to operate and attack the rim not only Randolph will also allow Baron to play a faster tempo which is what i think Dunleavy is going for with this trade.

This's a smart move for ur team, Randolph's is a lil' more athletic then Kaman, can shoot the three and can play on a faster tempo which help Baron utilize his skills to the max.

from a Raptors fan who keeps my eyes on ur team best of luck, and especially against the Sixers 2night got me some cash on it.

Looks like it to me. If I'm Dunleavy I call up the Bobcats and tell them Kaman for J-Rich & a future 1st round pick straight up or call up the Bulls and tell them Kaman for Larry Hughes, Joakim Noah & a future 1st round pick as well. As long as we get a new SG with short-term in years or if the Bucks are morons, I offer Kaman & a future 1st round pick for Michael Redd.

As a Bulls fan I will do that deal right now but I wouldnt offer the 2009 first round pick maybe the 2010 first round pick but i prefer the 2011 first round pick but I doubt it. Or we can replace the first round pick for Thabo Sefolasha.

Dunleavy will love having a 3 headed monster up front. Kaman isn't going anywhere.

If the Fakers can have odom/gasol/bynum why can't we have ZBO/CAMBY/KAMAN

Still love the fact that half the NBA wants Kaman on their teams :naaa:

I could see a Kaman for Rip Hamilton deal going down. AI is the shooting guard in Detroit and the Pistons need a big man. No way do Kaman, Camby and Randolph all remain with the team in a month.

Dunleavy's best teams in Portland were stacked just like the Clippers frontcourt is now on paper. If the right deal comes along, he most certainl could move Kaman but I'm certainly not expecting that to happen. BTW, Mardy Collins for everybodys information will get minutes for this team. He can guard any position 1-3 and will probably be the 4th man in the wing rotation along with EJ, Ricky and Al although he is a true PG.

Eww, did someone mention Larry Hughes, please no. I have nothing against the guy, I actually like him, but Larry Hughes is hardly ever on the court.

As a detroit man here, I'm not sure if I would do rip for kaman. Rip is a better player by far, but big men normally cost and we do have a need. Does Kamans style of play fit detroit?

I'd have to get something more. I'm not sure what that would be though. (probably more than it'd be worth for the clippers, ;) )

I'd consider rip and our first for kaman and your first. or rip and maxiel for kaman and thornton. but I don't see thorton being shipped in that type of deal to detroit.

I'd have to analyze and consider more of the in depth details to decide. It'd be tough if we let Iverson go and then have who at sg?

stuckey, ?, prince, resigned sheed?, Kaman.
stuckey, iverson, prince, sheed, kaman....depth.....

We could let ivey and sheed go and try boozer or okur.....Not seeing it though. Tough call.

As a Bucks fan, I'd do that deal pretty fast. And even if the Clips didn't want to throw in the first, I'd then do Kaman and Ricky Davis for Redd. That would work from a salary standpoint.

Cleveland fan here.. I also think Kaman stays but you guys seem pretty weak at SG right now.. so i'll throw an offer out there.. AV/West for Kaman.. AV and West have both improved a lot this year and i think they would work for you guys pretty well..

I don't know if the Pistons would have a need for some backcourt depth, but I am sure a guy like Jason Hart would be available now that the Clippers have acquired Collins who can play some PG. The Pistons could throw anyone into the deal from the end of their bench if they have an interest in him. The trade would have to go down after Dec 15 though since Hart was acquired this offseason.

If Iverson leaves, Arron Afflalo could possibly move up in the Piston SG rotation, he looked good for Detroit in the Vegas summer league.

No way this could happen, the salaries don't match up and the Clippers wouldn't be interested in adding a future #1. Besides, the Bucks already have a young center in Boget.

No chance, the Clippers need to find a decent starting SG if they move Kaman. They don't need depth like this, the Cavs and Bulls are poor trading partners for the Clippers.

Kaman plus Ricky Davis and one other salary filler scrub for Redd would match up. I'd do that deal if the Clips would. No one would need to put a #1 in the deal.

There are too many better options out there for the Clippers than dealing for Redd. Kaman/Hart for Jason Richardson is another trade that works under the cap although it couldn't go down until after Dec 15.

You interested in a Marion for either Kaman or Camby deal?

If I were Miami, I'll do any of those, and I know its hard to part with Haslem, he improved vastly but heck I would do a Haslem-Camby trade, looks fair.

As for Kaman, Marion? =p

According to SF Chronicle, Walsh told Mullin to pick any player he wants for Harrington. Mullin chose Crawford - and the deal was made.

Paxson can just as easily tell Dunleavy & the Clippers to pick any player or combination of players for Kaman. Only restriction is that no players can be named Derrick or Rose.

Thats BS. If that was true, then Mullin would've take Chandler.

Walsh said Crawford only.
