Former Clipper Injured In ATV Accident

Friends in Durham are rallying around former pro-basketball player Rodney Rogers.
Rogers, who lives in the Triangle, suffered serious injuries in an all-terrain vehicle crash Friday night in Vance County.
A horseback riding group, "Black Trail Riders," said Sunday they are planning a benefit ride in a few weeks for Rogers.
Friends say his condition is uncertain and that he may have suffered some paralysis.

Get well soon Rodney. I hope that he has a full recovery and that things aren't as bad as they sound.

Rodney was a big part of our team years back. It's unfortunate that he got in an accident, I hope that he recovers soon.

I just saw an update about Rodgers from ESPN. It's not good at all, it said that he's paralyzed. I wish Rodney and his family the best, this is really unfortunate.
Rodney Rogers is paralyzed as the result of an all-terrain vehicle accident, his college coach told the News & Observer of Raleigh-Durham, N.C.
"Say a prayer for Rodney and his family,'' Odom said, according to the newspaper.
Rogers, 37, who had a 12-year NBA career and won the league's Sixth Man Award in 1999-2000, was riding in the woods in rural Vance County, N.C., last week when he fell off the vehicle, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the newspaper reported.

I was hoping that wasn't the case.
My thoughts and prayers are with him. Hopefully he is able to make a full recovery and that the paralysis is only temporary.
