Gordon wants to be a stopper

"I'm feeling good and I feel like I want to play my role," Gordon told HOOPSWORLD on Tuesday. "Offensively it's been going pretty good for me and the one thing I like to bring to the game is defense. I want to be the one who stops the other team's best player. Now that I'm starting things are starting to come together."
"My dad never made it to the NBA; he tried out and things like that. He had an option, but he never made it. So he always taught me to work hard and push to be the best. Later, when I was in high school, I got a chance to talk to Chauncey Billups and Kobe Bryant a lot. They taught me a lot and gave me a pretty good idea about what goes on in the NBA, so I've had that dream for a long time."
And finally, we can't forget that Gordon is a rookie. His teammates certainly aren't letting him forget it . . .not even for a second.
"The biggest thing for me over the first month is the way guys give you a tough time for being a rookie," says Gordon, all smiles. "Everybody gives you a tough time. On the court I'm supposed to be a go-to guy, but off the court I'm the go-get guy. Doughnuts, water . . .anything they can think of they're constantly sending me to go get – especially the vets. But I'm happy to be in the NBA, playing basketball and playing against the best players in the world. As long as you work hard and do what the team needs you to do, everything else becomes fun."

The more I see or hear about Gordon, the more impressed I am.
Wonder who's telling him to fetch donuts, umm maybe ZBo.

Same here. I like EJ's attitude, he just goes out on the court and tries to do his best without talking a bunch of mess. And if he takes pride in his defense, that's even better. He'll be our Q Ross type wing defender, but with an offensive game.

Did he
not wear a tux or just keep from getting spotted? Whichever he did says a lot about him. He ditched the tux? He's a prima donna. Kept from being spotted? Dude is smooth.

He did wear a tux. He just showed up early before all the cameras were there. Obviously Taylor and Jordan wanted to be seen. Gordon is too shy for that.

we have alot of ofensive firepower.
i say this draft we get a guy who can do the intangibles.
someone that can guard both guards and forward spots.
i hate to say this but a trevor ariza type player.
