This guy is godawful. Career FG percentage of .412 is bad enough. Season FG percentage of .376 is abysmal. Even worse, that .376 is deceptive because he makes tons of shots when one team (clearly, usually the opponent) is up big and the shots mean absolutely nothing. Look at how bad this overrated piece of crap has been this month:

Mavs 10-23, Rockets 5-15, Grizz 7-16, Wolves 7-15, Magic 11-29, Blazers 11-29, Rockets 5-12, Thunder 7-21, Bulls 6-23, Pacers 5-18 and Bucks 2-9.

For me, this piece of crap has officially taken over from Kaman for the title of most useless and hated Clipper. What a colossal waste of money. Way to go Doneleavy, you've struck (fools) gold once again with another brilliant personnel move.

As much as I dislike Baron's game this year for us, I'm still putting it all on Dunleavy. The guy has no solid rotation, and his gameplan just sucks. New coach = much better team. I pretty much give up on the team until Dunleavy is removed from the coaching position. We just won't win with him. I don't get how Sammy did it..

But were accustomed to it with Coach now. its been like 5 years . But with Baron i honestly youtube him the other day. I seen some things he would do with the Warriors that i have never seen with the clips yet. I mean he was doing behind the back passes just going threw defenders and just throwing it down with two hands. He would put the ball all the way around his back and lay it in. And all these wasnt just with Nellys offense it was before he got there. He just doesnt seem motivated right now. I mean against the Warriors this year i would think he would get amped or whatever he was just talking to the warriors bench all game because i sat like 5 rows back. He played like Sh*t And watched that undrafted kid score 37. How many times are we going to a have late quarter situation and he heaves a 3 or a 20 ft. fadeaway in the corner. And Mike Smith says is that the best shot he can possibly get off right now . Im just really upset with him. And you can blame coach all you want but you cant defend Baron right now

Fishy, no doubt much of the blame can be placed squarely at the feet of our horrific coach, but there is no way you can "put it all on Dunleavy". I agree that Doneleavy's totally unimaginative one-on-one "iso" schemes result in way too many shots becoming late-in-the-shot-clock desperation heaves, but Doneleavy has nothing to do with how the ball leaves Barren's hand. I've seen way too many early in the shot clock 3P heaves and one foot off-balance shots from Barren this season. His shot selection (and execution) have been terrible.

Oh I agree Baron has played like total crap, but I really feel coaching could be the main reason Baron isn't motivated. He can't play the way he wants to, and with most of the ISO plays going to Al and Z-Bo I feel Baron forces himself to get involved in the game by chucking it up. Sammy kind of did the same when he played with us.. However he actually made a good amount of them haha..

If we had an uptempo style coach then Baron would be free to do whatever he wishes. He did chuck up some shots during his GS years, but at the same time he pushes the ball forward, drove to the basket and got other teammates involved(pretty much what scratch was describing).

All you see him do now is walk up the court, watch someone set a pick to give Z-Bo some good positioning, then toss it down low to him for a wild layup that somehow goes in. With Al they just toss it out to him and let him create.. How can an uptempo PG like Baron be motivated to play in this system? It's just horrendous. There are no plays for Baron. Hell there aren't even any plays for EJ, and he should be getting more shot opportunities. Both of these guys can easily put up 20 points a night. Their styles can help other teammates get better shot opportunities.

But you guys are right about how Baron should play smarter. I just don't think he wants to adapt to Dunleavy's system, and I wouldn't be surprised if he kept this sloppy play up until Dunleavy is gone.

I think I'm posting all over the place.. I don't really feel like editing to make more sense, but you guys should get the picture from it all. :lol:

Wow no wonder we loss the Bulls game was he really 6-23? If true EG doens't get the blame in my book.

I put some of the blame on Baron's new weight seems like he doesn't have the strength to finish anymore. How many times have we seen Baron really post a PG up anymore even against smaller guards Baron still can't get that deep on them. He should of used his previous size for the first season here the tried to gradually work in a slimmer one.

Like some of you have said, I would spread the blame between Dunleavy and Baron. I haven't been happy with Dunleavy's play calling these past few years. And Baron hasn't shoot over 50% in a game since last season. If we want to maximize what we can get out of of players Baron needs to play smarter and the play calling has got to change.

Holy ****...I just saw baron's stats in every game and he's only shot over 42% in 8 out of 27 games so far...I don't care whose the coach or what kind of system he runs...He's chucking it up 17.4 times a game which is his third highest fg attempts a game in his career while shooting 36%...A player gotta know when to stop shooting and concentrate on other things to help the team...wtf...

^Yeah, my first time watching the Clips, I realized that Baron is the main problem. His head/heart is not into it -- for whatever reason!

It's simple really. Baron plays sick when his entire situation is perfect for him. Nellie and Baron have a really close relationship and that was perfect for Nellie ball. Baron will suck for you guys until you make him entirely happy which means getting rid of Dunleavy firstly.

You're pretty much right about it, and we've all wanted Dunleavy to go for the past couple seasons now. It annoys me how our fans who attend the game don't call him out. I think we've only had 1 "fire Dunleavy" chant all season long. I think if the fans reacted negatively Sterling might rethink things over, but the fact that the fans attending don't do squat, and still attend games doesn't help with our situation at all.

Seems everywhere Baron goes a coach has to leave. You guys probably wanted to get rid of Dunleavy before this for whatever reason but it seems Baron is a coach killer. Tim Floyd, Mike Montgomery and now Dunleavy may be his next. He probably got along with Nellie but he also probably wanted to stick it to Nellie and the W's for being benched in a very important game last season by leaving to go to the Clips. Baron is hardly ever satisfied. Seems every where he goes it has to be his way or the highway. He may help you guys in getting rid of Dunleavy but he probably won't provide much help in anything else.
