With speculation that Baron Davis wants to return to Golden State escalating, Corey Maggette was asked if he would like to go back to the Clippers.
"Who me? No. I love it here, man," Maggette said. "It's been a big change for me. Fans here are absolutely great. That's the biggest thing coming from Los Angeles. They have a mixture of Lakers and Clippers fans. Here, it's the Bay Area team. They love their Warriors. That's what's great about them."

Yeah not really surprised based on how he was treated here by Dunleavy. Not just by him coming off the bench during our playoff run with all that drama, but how we made no effort to make it seem like we wanted him back. Can't blame a player for not liking the team when he was shown no love.

Okay, I get that he likes GS and he had a bad time when he was a Clipper, but did he have to bring the fans into it? Really? Really, Maggette, really. Dude was a fan favorite so I'm surprised to see him hatin'.
But, to be fair, I guess we really don't want him back either so perhaps it wasn't ALL love for Maggs in LA.

The feeling is mutual.

I hope Maggette enjoys his time as a Warrior.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Maggette I believe is taking a shot at the Clippers organization with the comment about the fans. He is basically saying the Clippers didn't have enough fans because they are overshadowed by the Lakers and he's glad to not be a part of that anymore. I don't think Corey is saying we have bad fans.

I'm gonna miss the way he used to scream every time he drove in looking for a foul. But I'm not gonna miss how he'd get the ball stripped from him so many times while doing it.

Boom and Maggs should join forces somehow. Then they'd be the duo with the lowest bball IQ in the NBA.

I have no issue with what Corey said, what would anyone expect him to say. I really miss the LA fans and playing for Mike Dunleavy? He has moved on.

I absolutely agree.
He gave us all that he could while he was here, and he put up with a lot of grief. I don't require any fond nostalgia from him, and I don't believe he had any intention of disrespecting the fans here, as loflin3hree5ive observed.
I wish him well for the rest of his career, wherever he is.
