Camby for Richardson?

What the hell? Who came up with this bologna?

Donnie Walsh denied that he is working on a three-way deal with the Blazers and Clippers, but several team sources confirmed that Walsh and the Knicks' coaching staff have discussed the possibility of adding Marcus Camby, who was traded from Denver to the Clippers last July.

Portland has been trying for months to acquire David Lee, who will become a restricted free agent this summer. Mike D'Antoni would prefer to have Camby as his center as opposed to the shorter Lee, who has improved offensively but has struggled on the defensive end.

There was a report of the Knicks being involved in a deal that would send Quentin Richardson to the Clippers and Lee to Portland, with the Knicks getting back Camby and former Knicks first-round pick Channing Frye. Walsh, however, denied having discussed that trade with the Clippers and Blazers.

We would have to be stupid to be involved in this deal, unless we're getting something else. But this deal does not sound good for us at all.

Seriously. Q was the man when he was here...but for my Marcus? I don't think so honey! Dunleavy wouldn't approve this crap.

I don't believe it. Camby could bring in a lot more from a lot of teams. A contender would give up a lot for a solid rebounder and defender. We could get much more than just Q.

Well, playing for D'Antoni would be much more pleasant for Marcus.
But this deal would be terrible for me --- taking away the one great bright spot of my Clipper-following season this year.
As you people who participate in the game threads know, no matter what other disasters are taking place on the court or in our W/L record, I can always note down Camby's stats and feel happy.

I'd rather move Mr. "Oh no, a skilled center is on the team so I'm going to conveniently get injured the day he comes until after the trading deadline so people don't realize I'm not worth the $52.5 million i'm getting paid" Kaman.

As coach and GM Mike Dunleavy said, while laughing, ... "Oh yeah, I'm looking to trade 20 rebound (a night) guys every day.''

Bahah...ha...ha...um...We all thought he was.
