Livingston coming full circle?
This is just pure speculation and I understand he has previously turned down a guaranteed offer from us... But with our current dearth of point guard likely to be prolonged and if the reason of his release is to be believed (not health-related, just lack of opportunities due to Mario Chalmers), it sets up for us giving him another look and it would be silly for him to not listen... thoughts?

Re: Livingston coming full circle?
I saw the wiretap headline and thought this exact same thing. Hey, we need a point guard, Shaun needs a job...I can see it happening through my optimistic eye. But in reality, I have a feeling Shauny Boy will do all he can to avoid us.
That said....hey, I'd welcome him back!

Shaun is player that I probably will always root for. He has said/done some things that irked me, but I definitely want to see him live his dream in the NBA. Would I welcome him back? Sure. It's just that right now is not the right time if he's still hindered by the injury. If he's still available as our guys trickle back in then I'd be interested in seeing him come back home.

Nah, If anything he'd sign a 1 year deal. Prove himeself that he can play, then find a long term deal elsewhere. I'll agree that he doesn't want to play for us, but he'd probably use the organization as an audition for the rest of the league. With all our PGs injured it's the perfect place for him to get his minutes.

Re: Livingston coming full circle?
While in Miami, he has said that he puts himself about 85%. And to answer scratch's question, Livingston at 85% of what he was before the injury is STILL better than Jason Hart

Re: Livingston coming full circle?
At this point I'm not sure that I want him back. I'm sure he'll get signed by someone by next season.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Re: Livingston coming full circle?
I always loved Shaun --- he brought me to this board and this team in the first place. But do we really want yet another sulky injured player who really doesn't want to be here? Seems as if we have an overly-generous serving of those already and it isn't serving us well in any currency except potential lottery balls.

Re: Livingston coming full circle?
An open roster spot for a much neede HEALTHY point guard. Don't get me wrong I love Livingston and would welcome him back but right now we need a solid healthy point guard. I would rather we re-sign Jones after he clears waivers. He can play pg, play sg,at times sf and is a very decent scorer. Exactly what we need.ClipperEric wrote:I want him back too. what have we got to lose?

Re: Livingston coming full circle?
Why bring back Livy when we could go for Pargo, hell even Dee Brown? adiedanny is right, we need a HEALTHY PG.

Re: Livingston coming full circle?
I guess the only thing that Shaun would bring that another PG wouldn't, and the main argument for brining him in, is sentimental value. Last I checked, that didn't help you win games. But I'd still like to see him here
I didn't know Pargo and Brown were without teams!

Re: Livingston coming full circle?
Pargo is playing under a year-long contract in Moscow, isn't he?
I've always loved him. Good skills, great attitude, character guy. I thought the Hornets were nuts to let him go --- he was a crucial piece of their successful make-up last year.
The only trouble with signing him is that he isn't available until the end of the season, as I understand it.

On an off-topic note. Darius was just waived today. Do we go after him now?

I think we have 2 roster spots open so we need to go after someone

Re: Livingston coming full circle?
Hm...so, now its Livingston/Miles coming full circle? Well in a season like this I think that either of them returning would be a bright spot. What have we got to lose anyway? Hell, bring 'em both in!
