Ralph Lawler is the unsinkable voice of the Clippers. Bingo

I have never appreciated Ralph Lawler more than I do now.

I once worked alongside Ralph as his radio color man and liked him and his sense of humor, but that's not what this is about.

This is about a fiercely loyal employee whose dedication for three decades should have won him Employee of the Year every year he's been with that wacky organization.

For 30 years, Ralph has been the voice of the Clippers.

This is not quite the same as bandleader on the Titanic, but it's awfully close. Yet Ralph is so fun on the air, he almost makes you want to wait around to see the ship hit the iceberg.

For 26 of those years, with the team usually out of the playoffs, often hopelessly so, Ralph has cheerfully soldiered on, selling snowballs to Eskimos and convincing them they are Sno-Cones. With lime and cherry.

The brightest spot of being a Clipper fan. If I had a choice to choose between a championship Clipper team or Ralph staying around for another 30 years. I think I'd choose Ralph..

Listening to/watching Ralph is the best part of being a Clipper fan. It's funny to read other fan's comments on Ralph and Mike. Generally they are well received while some fans take something Milph said a little too much to heart (can't take a joke). How has Ralph done it for as long as he has? I have no idea, but I'm thankful that he loves what he does. He's truly what makes tuning in every game a pleasure even when the product on the floor is the complete opposite. I hope that this organization shows him the respect that he deserves when he retires the mic. Lift it up into the rafters and make it a celebration.

I just hope that this organization will give him a championship before it's all said and done.

I think Ralph and Mike are the best local TV commentators in the league, as I said the first time I heard them.
Some of the ones from other cities' teams are so bad that I prefer to watch with the mute button on.
That never happens with these guys. Very fair and balanced and positive and knowledgeable.

I've loved watching and listening to Ralph and Mike ever since became a Clipper fan. (But when I was first a fan Bill Walton was still doing our game) They have been very funny and entertaining, we can have a blow out and they will still find a way to make me laugh. I agree with you MK I hope that the Clippers can give Ralph a championship before he retires.

And our team will give us a championship one day.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Ralph Lawler is one of the main reasons that I am a Clippers fan, and he is almost the sole reason I decided to major in broadcast journalism...with hopes of taking his job away from him one day! ;) Can't say it enough, Ralph Lawler is my hero, and after another 82 games of watching this Clippers squad, not only is it clear that Ralph is a hero, he is also a saint.
