The Bill Simmons article is priceless.

"You don't understand!" he continues. "They're going to make the go-ahead shot, and we won't even get a shot off! That's how this game is going to end! And it's going to keep ending this way until you alert the entire country that MIKE DUNLEAVY IS A TERRIBLE COACH AND NEEDS TO GO!!!!!"

I really hated when Dunleavy put in Daniel Ewing to guard Raja Bell :(
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I hated that too, but to a lesser extent compared to when Cassell was smiling his way to a 8-second violation. >=/

i've seen so many clippers fans gripe about this, it's getting kind of ridiculous. just like everyone else, my heart sank when the shot went in but ewing played that shot fine. considering who the shooter was and the situation at hand (about 2-3 seconds left on the clock...enough for a good jump shooter like bell to make a ball fake), jumping up for a block would have likely ended in three foul shots or an even better look. furthermore, you can't really put all the blame on dunleavy when you consider the fact that ewing was one of the better defenders at the 1-spot on the roster.

You folks gave up on Sam Cassell. Sammy was the reason why you folks had the 47-win season 3 years ago.

What are you talking about? He wanted to be released cause of our injury plagued season. The season before he was injured for like.. half the season which was why we missed the playoffs by a couple games. We didn't give up on a damn thing. We allowed him to go to a contender and get his ring. We didn't even want him to go to begin with.

This is only one of the many misconceptions out there in other parts of the league about the Clippers and how various partings-of-ways came about, etc.
Someday we can gather them together for a Book of Clipper Urban Legends.
