This is something I've often thought about. It seems that no matter what, half of our team is injured. The injuries don't seem to go away in a timely manner, either. Not just this season, but many seasons past as well. I don't know if we should blame it on the trainer completely, but the things that stack up against this dude make it look like he has something to do with it. I'll get on the "Fire Jasen" bandwagon.

I never thought that Powell may be the problem.

I agree, Sasha of the Lakers sprained his ankle Monday vs. the Cavs and he will be playing tonight. Camby did the same thing and he will be out 2 weeks. Something is wrong with that. If we were 32-9 Camby, Davis, Kaman, Randolph would all play. It's crazy.

In the past I have defended this guy, because some injuries are just freak accidents. Then you look at it year after year and his track record doesn't look so good.

Most fans blame their trainers/medical staff when players get injured, stay injured, or are injured for longer than the initial prognosis. I remember 2 years ago when they misdiagnosed Maggette's foot injury and basically wasted 2 weeks of recovery time. We need our staff to be on their game like the Suns' staff has been. Aside from talent, chemistry, coaching and so on, staying healthy is a vital key to success and playoff contention. This team has definitely underachieved, but our injury history in the last 2 years has been absolutely horrendous. You're not likely to win if your best guys are always sitting on the sidelines.

I think it is a fact players don't want to come back. All these players have injuries that can be played through but yet the try to extend to the recovery time as much as possible. Telling you now Baron might not comeback until after the GSW road game.

This is Donald Sterling we're talking about. He has always been notoriously cheap when it comes to staff. Just because he's opened his wallet a bit to players and is building a training center (which isn't much more than another real estate venture for him) doesn't mean he's got the best medical staff money can buy.

Whether it's Jason Powell's fault personally or not I don't know. But I do know that over the past 8 years or so this team has much more difficulty than any other team preventing injuries and getting players to recover quickly.

I bet there's all kinds of high-tech, crazy **** that most teams use. And I have a feeling the Clippers are way behind the curve when it comes to that type of stuff.
