Clips lead 22-21 at the end of 1 thanks to a DJ tip-in off of the Thornton miss. The game started off nearly flawless for both teams before a dry stretch where nobody could buy a bucket. Jones has handled most of the offensive duties for the Clips and has 11 of our 22 points to show for it. Jordan is hitting the boards and has scooped up 6 of our 11.

Novak's shot is so smooth.

At the half, Clippers trail 49-48. It could be worse. We've had our ups and downs and have had numerous occurrences of poor clock management (at least 3 shot clock violations, and a couple of last second desperation shots that happened to hit rim). Brandon Roy is beasting for Portland with 22 on 8 of 9. Jones and Novak have a combined 23 for us, but Gordon has been quiet and Thornton is struggling from the field (3 for 10). Guys have to step up in the 2nd half before a couple of guys on the Blazers decide to turn their games up a notch and join in with Roy.

This is a great contest for the current healthy Clipper squad. Both young, but the Blazers have the more developed, name players. I think match up okay, EJ is a stud and Jordan can match up with a still developing Oden.

I think EJ will find more scoring opportunities in the 2nd half, he hasn't been forcing it in the first and has been looking for the open man when he picks up the second defender. He threw a really nice pass to DJ under the basket, but DJ couldn't quite handle the pass.
