Kaman available?

According to David Aldridge of NBA.com's The Dish
And even though the Clippers have specifically denied it to me, I keep hearing they're still determined to repatriate Chris Kaman, figuring they can go 10-40 just as well without him as with his remaining three years and $33.9 million.
http://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/0 ... index.htmlIs Dunleavy really shopping/looking to trade Kaman?
I really don't think we should do anything and just hope he comes back, to see if this 3 headed PF/C Monster(Kaman, Camby, Randolph) can work together or not. If not, we could still trade one of them and the best time to do this, to me, would be during this years draft to either trade up or even get another pick.
Thoughts?

I think the Clippers are better off trading him for a starting SG like Rip Hamilton.

I'd do it.
I think Z-BO and DeAndre are the future Kaman is too soft.

I'm not too hot on the idea of trading Kaman, but if the right deal comes along, we can't say no. I just think that having a Kaman/Camby/Z-Bo combo in any order is the best starter/bench combo at the C position anywhere in the league. That said, if we're gonna trade any one of those three, my choice would be Kaman.

I like the trade idea that was posted on the trade board by loflin3hree5ive:
Kaman/Hart for RJ/'09 First from MIL (Top 1 Protected)
Then we could move Al to the 6th man role.

I don't think the Bucks would include their number 1 in such a deal. That's too much to give from their side.
I think RJ and Mboute Bah Aboute (sp!) would be more likely. He's apparently developed into a pretty good NBA defensive player? (I liked him at UCLA even though he was limited.)

I'm not sure if Mbah a Moute is a good defensive player. Though, he looks like he knows how to rebound(especially on the offensive glass), which is something a team always can use.

I don't really know myself, just had come across some articles like this-
http://www.jsonline.com/sports/bucks/32441539.htmlhttp://www.jsonline.com/sports/bucks/34066164.htmlIt wouldn't surprise me though, watching him at UCLA. He doesn't have offensive skills, but is athletic and has a nose for the ball. I'd love to add him and Jefferson to the team, they seem like a good combo.

I also watched him quite a bit at UCLA and with the way he played there, it isn't a surprise, that he's a good rebounder, especially on the offensive end. He's just got a nose for those rebounds and knows how to pick his spots, to get them.
As far as being a good defender. I'm not really sure, cause he's a 3/4 tweener and, therefore, might have some problems with those quicker 3's and stronger 4's. Though, i think he makes a really good team defender, with his long arms and relatively quick feet.

For some reason some guys just seem to be able to play bigger than they are, yet still have quickness to keep up with somewhat smaller guys too. I think Darius Miles was very much like this, at least back when he was a Clipper. He could easily guard 3's and 4's (and do it well), and could probably even go lower or higher in spot duty.
I think long arms is a big bonus, along with good footwork that allows them to stay in front of their defenders. They're also quick enough to probably be able to front strong 4's to deny the entry pass.
Any way, we've talked long enough about him.

I doubt he's coming to LA anytime soon.

Hope Kaveman finds a new home at the trade deadline or this summer. Dude is a bonafide STIFF!

A little off topic here, but can any of you guys tell me what the general consensus is, with regards to Kaman's productivity when he returns? This is for fantasy league purposes.
I understand that he is supposed to return shortly after the All-Star break. Do you guys expect that he'll put up decent enough numbers? Something like 15 - 8 - 1.5?

No one knows what kind of numbers(though, i don't expect him to put up 15 per game) Kaman will put up.
He'll have to fight for his minutes and touches, cause Camby and Z-Bo are playing pretty well.
Chris will also have some rust and will probably need some games, before he's back in playing shape.

The Bucks already have Bogut, they and no other team would be interested in giving up that much in return for Kaman. They need a better PF more than a center like Kaman.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see he and Baron packaged together for a couple of players with 1-2 years left on their contracts.

On the Bulls board there's a rumor that the Clipps and Bulls are talking about a trade involving Chris Kaman and Kirk Hinrich.
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=883091Not sure what to make out of this.

Tech N9ne is our insider and has been reliable in the past. He said the Bulls were discussing a Brad Miller trade with the Kings back in July.
