What do you think?

Would you trade Kaman or Camby to the Bulls?

Who would you want?

I'd trade Kaman to the Bulls, but only if we got something solid in return.

In solid i mean something like Kaman for Gooden, Noah and their, lottery protected, first round pick.

The only reason to trade Kaman is, because we aren't that happy with his production(injuries) anymore and would want to save some money.
Therefore, Andres Nocioni, and his long contract, makes no sense at all for the Clippers.

Though, like i've said, Noah, Gooden's expiring and their (lottery protected) first rounder could be enough for Kaman.

It's been said, in those rumors, that the Clipps at least want a pick back, if they deal Kaman.

So maybe something like this, could work.

Kaman, Jason Hart

for

Sheed, 1st round pick

Though, i'd like to get a guy like Jason Maxiel, in such a deal, as well, if possible.

I don't want Noah on our team, but that's just me.

I have always liked Sheed's game, so I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Clipps uniform.

I doubt that Sheed would ever play a game for the Clipps, if a deal, involving him, would go down.

He'd probably ask to be bought out, so he can join a team like the Spurs, which would allow him to play for the title.

Trade Rumors...

My read is that the only untouchable guy on the team right now is rookie Eric Gordon, followed closely by Al Thornton, Zach Randolph and Marcus Camby.

That's right, Marcus Camby. I've been repeatedly told the Clippers do not want to trade Camby. And really, why should they. Camby has a relatively inexpensive contract, has been a great team leader and is playing like an All Star.

Now, does that mean the team would never trade one of the aforementioned players? No. It means they don't want to trade them and it would take a lot to change their minds.

Notice, however, who I did not list among the untouchables and draw your own conclusions. The best way I can explain it is that the Clippers are listening and taking calls. I wouldn't say they are making a ton of them.

I was told, however, that if the Clippers were trying to dump Kaman's salary, they could've done it in two seconds. In other words, that's not the objective.

Their front office believes that if everyone is healthy, the team can contend for a playoff spot. Coach Dunleavy has spoken repeatedly about wanting to see how Camby, Randolph and Chris Kaman play together, which still hasn't happened.

Thanks for the post. All those things make absolutely perfect sense, so I'm glad that's the FO's mindset regarding the roster. The 'untradeable' list is right, even the exact order is right starting with EJ at the top.

There is genuine talent on this team, and no reason to reset and dump salaries, just to dump salaries. That primarily goes for Kaman, who is a quality center, though I think they are trying to trade him. And there's definitely no reason to dump Camby's salary, he more than earns his keep.

That leaves Baron, whom I think the Clippers would be more inclined to trade in a salary dump for an expiring. There's enough offensive talent that we probably prefer to not have a ball-dominating PG, even a talented one like Baron (especially with EJ's emergence.) Baron is the one guy they will basically give away IMO, to keep overall payroll manageable.
