Visiting the Bobcats forum I've learned a few things...

- Augustin is a better defender than Eric Gordon
- Eric Gordon is a slightly worse Ben Gordon
- DJ Augustin + something for Kaman + something is not interesting. Eric Gordon + Kaman for Augustin would be interesting
- Eric Gordon looks good because he gets to play with Baron Davis
- Augustine is better than Gordon.

I was about to go ape doody on you when I read this thinking it was actually you who thought that. But yeah you gotta expect that from fans of other teams. Everyone is always a bit bias towards their favorite.

Loot's right, what they said is a little too over the top. It's more than just being a homer, it seems they're just a little bit ignorant about other players. It's not all their fault though, the Clippers hardly get any national media coverage. All the way over there on the east coast, they don't know that Eric Gordon is the one providing Baron with assist numbers, not that Baron's assists are giving Gordon his points. Big difference.

It's not surprising. You'll get similar things if you go to any other forum here.

It's hard to really get a good gauge on a player by numbers alone, and I doubt many Bobcat fans have seen much of Gordon.

Looking at his numbers, his physical attributes, some clips of him, and it might not be that hard to come up with a 'yeah he's pretty good but not great' assessment. But he is definitely more than that. I think it's his strength that really sets him apart from other similar skilled off guards in the league (since he also has the requisite quickness, shooting, ball handling, etc.)

It's not surprising to me that some of their fans would feel that way given that they're an Eastern team that probably only sees our players twice a year since we're "the Clippers".

hold on, gimme a second.
*sigh* ahhhhh-hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
dj who? are we talking about the same eric gordon?
don't even START talks like that.
dj agustin, is worth maybe brian skinner on our team.
not even straight up would he be worth ck, let, let, let ALONE Er Gordon!
but no worries, that's the kinda talk you SHOULD expect from a bobcat fan,
what is this, their 2nd, 3rd season in the league?
eric gordon is part of the new breed of potentially GREAT shooting guards.
the next ray allen, with a scoring mentality and abilities like allen iverson? just beautiful.
charlotte fans, all i gotta say is you guys keep drafting busts, and i'm not going to name any names.
*cough* emeka okafor! raymond felton! adam morrison! sean may! *cough*
(sorry, it was just too easy) while we let this kid unfold into greatness.
a little advice, at least check stats before you start talking nonsense,
eric gordon is the top scoring rookie in the league,
if it weren't for derrick rose (amazing) gordon would EASILY win ROY.

Augustin is a good player but obviously not on the level of Gordon. But like others have said, DJ is their player so Charlotte fans will obviously back him. I'm sure a year ago most of us could have made the argument that Al Thornton was better than Al Horford, but time has a way of making people open their eyes. If Gordon continues at this pace, there will soon be no doubt at all about who is better.

Gordon is fantastic. I really hope Dunleavy is gone next year so we can see what the Clippers can really do. I am an IU alum, so I am a huge Eric Gordon fan, so when I was in LA I decided to catch a Clippers game. It took me all of about 30 seconds to realize that the team had quit on Dunleavy and that they simply were not going to play hard for him. It's a shame, because the Clips have some nice pieces. Get a coach in here who the players can get behind and who will let Baron do his thing and then you're talking.

The Bobcat fans are kind of nuts. As a non-biased fan (Pacers fan), I wouldn't trade Gordon for Augustin and their first rounder this year. Weak draft, and Gordon is going to be nearly unstoppable in a few years.
