What happened to Sofoklis Schortsanitis!?

I don't post/view the clippers board very often at all, so excuse this if its been talked about before recently... but what has ever happened to Sofoklis Schortsanitis??

Anyone know if the Clips are gonna ever bring this guy in? He was the 34th pick in the 2003 Draft... pretty high in the 2nd round.

I'm a Magic fan.. so we're having our own problems with Fran Vazquez.. an 11th pick.. I know... yikes!

But I remember seeing this guy long ago and figured he'd be pretty decent. He's got an official website too... www.bigsofo.gr -- you'll have to click the tiny british flag in the upper right corner to read anything.

The guy's been having weight problems ever since. I don't know if he'll ever be ready for the NBA game. He was blacklisted by his team for ballooning to 400lbs. Honestly, I don't expect him to EVER put on a Clipper uniform.

Well, it doesn't seem like a Clipper uni would even fit on him...

The time to bring him over was after he manhandled the US in the world championship tourney. We could have really benefited by bringing him over when Brand went down, but he had ballooned up to epic proportions by then. This guy will be 24 in a few months and has battled weight issues for so long that you have to wonder the effect that it may eventually have on his knees.

I don't really anticipate him coming over at this point. If he were to ever get his weight under control and decide to join the Clippers, then I'd be surprised. I'd welcome it if he were in shape, but I don't have much confidence that we'll ever see him on the team.
