Player of the Year

The tallies for the entire season are in. Eric Gordon (3.5), Zach Randolph (3.5) and Baron Davis (3) are that players were voted star of the game most often. With each being so close in the standings, we're going to have a final vote to determine the team's overall player of the year aka the Mr. Clipper Award.
The poll will run for 3 days.

To me it's kind of degrading to even have to mention Gordon's name with other two, but I had to do it for the sake of formalities.
Gordon has had the most impressive games out of any player on the team as far as I'm concerned. Never once did he embarrass us in the news, nor on the court. He was one of the few that gave it his all every single night and on both sides of the ball. Rookies typically battle things like transition periods, rookie walls, inconsistency, fatigue, etc. He didn't really battle too much of that after he was handed the keys to the starting spot at the 2. After he was given that chance he welcomed every challenge with open arms, regardless if that challenge was named Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade or Kobe Bryant.
It should be unanimous, but we'll see.

For me it was Gordon hands down. MK was right on target with what he said about Gordon. He played hard every night and I felt that he was the most consistent Clipper this season. He exceeded the expectations I had for him. I can't wait to see how he will progress next season.

No doubt about it, it has to be Gordon. Everyone else has underachieved minus Z-Bo, but with Z-Bo he had a few issues with Amundson and the DUI towards the end of the season.

Has to be EJ. After that mid-season game against the Thunder and he scored 41 against Durant, there was no doubt he is a superstar.

Gordon without a doubt. Its not just about numbers, its about heart and leadership and many other intangibles. I can't believe Baron was even on the list.
In the future I hope to see Zach take a leadership role. He's got the skills, he just needs to grow up.

No doubt that this will be a unanimous vote. Gordon was one of the few who brought the effort every night, not to mention quite a few games of 20+ points. The best part of this season without a doubt was watching Eric Gordon play.

When you really think about this. It's really insulting when a rookie outshines the veterans who been around the block and are suppose to lead by example. Considering the hellish season the Clippers played through, it would be good to at least shine some type of good news on this board for morality sake. Gordon gets my vote.

I agree, it is sad when the rookie is the most mature player and trying to lead the team by example.

Not even close here. Gordon was the only bright spot.

I guess no one wanted to vote for Zach or Baron, lol

I voted for Gordon, but probably would have put Camby into the poll in place of Baron Davis, although I still don't think anyone would have voted for Camby ahead of Davis. Camby shot over 50% and was the team leader in rebounding and shot blocking although he missed 20 games.

It's been one of those seasons that you wish you could simply forget.

Too bad the denuralyzer in the pic doesn't work in real life.

I don't need to even say anything, it's all pretty much been summed up by all of you guys.
Gordon, no question.

It's official. The winner of the first annual Mr. Clipper Award is Eric Gordon.

Here are a few of his achievements this season:
- Named Western Conference Rookie of the Month for January
- NBA rookie high for points in a game at 41 as well as team high
- Set Clippers rookie record for points scored in a game with 41 against Oklahoma City
- Set Clippers rookie record for 3 pointers made in a season with 131

We can only hope that he will be rookie of the year, and he will definitely be on the first or second all rookie team
