thornton is a 12 in a dozen player.

thornton, marv williams, deng, josh howard. all low/no impact sf's.

i wouldnt mind thornton too much and if we're able to move randolph in a package with him, im all for it. if any team would be crazy enough to swap a pick which would land us earl clark for thorn, we should do it. earl clark would be perfect for us.

Yes, they could play together, but the focus would probably be the tandem between Gordon/Griffin, not Thornton/Griffin.

Thornton is definitely expendable, as the Clippers may need a defensive force and/or a guy who can hit the open 3 consistently. Thornton is still a good producer, but since he's streaky he may be best off the bench. In other words, his position as starter is not guaranteed if we were revamping the roster.

Thornton is a great 3rd or 4th option on the floor, because he hustles and runs and contributes to team energy. There's no need to look to move him since we're not drafting a 3.

If he needs to be included in a package to move say ZBo, then that's fine. I would really hope we'd actually be getting value back in a ZBo/Thornton package though, not just a salary dump.

The only thing now is that Thornton will have to be more unselfish and defer to Blake. Actually, everybody on the team should defer to Griffin and Gordon. Those two should be the focal point without a doubt.

Honestly, if we can package Thornton with Randolph to use him as trade bait to get rid of Z-Bo's contract then I'm all for it.
