So Darius is now available...

Now that we got Q back, how can we not re-unite the 2 guys who did that double-fist/horn thing????

If we could sign him for nothing for at a 10-12 roster spot I would definitely take the no-risk chance, just for nostalgia's sake. I think the crowd at Staples would cheer them on. I say that admitting I have no idea what Darius even did on the court last year. I just remember the Celtics signed him the year before.

Miles career is over IMO. But if it were going to butts in the seats, which is probably will to an extent, then the Clippers are probably the only team that would take a chance on him.

I'm pretty sure the Celtics signed him last season, waived him, the Grizzles picked him up, waived him and sinnged him again.

Right now, I believe we have 10 guys under contract. I don't see why not, if he'll take the minimum and know that, unless he shows something spectacular, he won't get much playing time, if any.
If anything, he could push Thornton in practice, which Al needs.

Probably sign him mid-season when the injury bug flies in again. I mean, hopefully it doesn't, but that's how I see it. We love those 10-day contracts.

It would be nostalgic and definitely cool to see Q-Rich and D-Miles back together where they started, but I'd still pass. Miles and Ricky would form a new duo called the "
Sticky Icky Bandits" I'd rather us not add another player who could potentially be a bad influence on our youth.

D-Miles would just be a sentimental signing, there's no future in signing him. Not worth a roster spot.

We could at least invite him to our training camp to see what he's got.

When I saw that Memphis waved Darius, I thought the same thing as some of you did-- why not? I don't think D-Miles carries enough weight to be any kind of influence on the young guys, good or bad. The younguns aren't mindless; they're probably aware that if you're gonna model yourself after someone else, D-Miles probably isn't the guy to choose.
As far as being a major contributor, yes, his career is over. But like jflip said, he'd be a body on the floor when the injuries come rolling in. Can't be worse than signing Rick Brunson or Boniface Ndong, right?

Yeah, I mean who cares if we have Brian Skinner, Alex Acker, or Darius Miles at the end of the bench. It' would be so more fun to have Darius.

Is Miles really done? I saw glimpses of him playing for the Celtics and for the Grizzles, and he was not terrible. He had some good defensive plays and athletic dunks. Hard to believe, but the guy is only 27 years old and should be able to contribute to a team out there... probably not the Clippers though.

Darius is probably 100 percent recovered at this point. He looks like he matured and WANTS to play now. In fact, the guy he is now is probably what you guys wanted him to act like 8 years ago. At his age, he should be entering his prime now. I think you give him 35 minutes a game and he'll give you 15 and 7, efficiently.
