Damn that was the thing 2 do!!! good times, I wish they didn't trade Miles, he might have been good with Q and Odom. I remember hearing that it started while they were at a restaurant one time and Q was eating ice cream. He was eating it sloppy and a spec went on his forehead. They way he cleaned it(same motion as the head bop) gave D-Miles and idea and bam! the head bop is born.

I heard it was called a "bee-bee." It's referenced in a song off Nelly's album "Nellyville," which suggets that it means "I put it down homie." Dunno about you guys, but it makes sense to me.

my post is real talk. there were rumors floating around during the 01-02 and 02-03 seasons that their head-bop is directly related to a type of gang sign originating from the chicago area. it's not that far-fetched to believe this, considering both are from illinois. i'm not saying their intentions were to flash their opponents after every bucket, or that they're knucklehead wannabe-thugs, but that their signature celebration was likely influenced by a certain gang from illinois.

Oh sorry I wasn't referring to yours or the ice cream story(which I found humorous). It was aimed towards everyone else talkin smack about the team. :P

I have no idea what their head knock means but I always wondered.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

You so called clipper fans are a ra-tard. ( The Hangover)

Q or Darius told my boy Ralph Lawler what it meant, and you guys are way off. they wanted to come up with a "cool" gesture so it could be put into a video game. if could remember right it was acheived in some video game...
