Hmmn, I don't really like this but I suppose I don't mind either. Back to having no one really at the 3 spot (apart from Al).

Madsen in useless.

Telfair seems pretty useless although will be able to run the backups better than Taylor who looked awful in summer league.

Craig Smith is the only addition I actually like. He is pretty good scorer off the bench and will help with our front court depth. Paired with Camby off the bench and we should have a very solid backup front court.

I guess Telfair becomes backup PG and we cut Madsen. If we manage to pickup a solid SF I will like this trade otherwise its pretty lateral if you ask me (upgrade front court, downgrade on wing)

So we take on a little extra post 2010 salary for an upgrade in talent and more depth. I don't mind it.

I don't mind it either, but it's nothing special. Smith is the only player of value in this trade. Telfair gives us a backup PG over Mike Taylor since he has not looked good in SL action.

Smith and Madsen are expirings, and Bassy has a $2.7 million player option for next season. I like Smith, gives us a good backup to BG.

Not bad, nothing great though.

Mark Madsen is a two-time NBA champ! Don't forget that!

Wow. I like Craig Smith. That guy seems like a pretty good backup big man. Telfair seems like a decent backup as well. Good trade. :) Hopefully this pushes for another trade involving Camby or Kaman. DJ needs his minutes.

MadDogg can be a good chearleader for you guys....just make sure he doesnt try to dance as some eppl my lose their sight....lol :D

I like this trade for sure. It would have been cool if Q came and played for us again, but i would rather have two young players like craig smith and telfair on our team. this makes our bench alot deeper and now we have more playing time for steve novak if he resigns. i dnt know about you guys but novak impressed me last season and i hope he comes in next season as our backup SF and lights it up on the 3-pt line. he is a 3 point specialist and i want to see if he can be one of our best bench players. Craig Smith is only in his 3rd year in this league and has showed he can score 10+ points a game off the bench which is good for a backup PF in the NBA. Sebastion Telfair is only in this 3rd year as well and he has shown flashes of being a good point guard. I dont think he is a starter in this league, but as a back up i think he will succeed on our team. Also, Sebastion and Craig haven't missed many games in their short career, which is good for a injury prone clippers team.
This is not the biggest trade of the offseason, but this will solidify our bench and if it doesn't work out we can get rid of their 2 mil./year by next season and we will still have more money next offseason. Madsen is a good guy to have on our bench, not for his playing abilities cause he more than likely wont see the court very much or at all, but for his positive influence he will have on our team. He is a team player and he cares about the team not just himself which will be nice for our young players to see and hopefull mimic.
I still hope we sign a SF, but for now im am excited what the clippers are trying to do.

I like this trade... Craig Smith is decent, and Mark Madsen can be our much needed cheerleader. Not sure about Telfair... he has talent but is inconsistent... and I'd feel unsafe with him around since he loves his handguns.

Telfair was such a good player at times last year, if he could finish at the hoop better and hit shots more, he'd be elite. His quickness is going to excite for you next year.

Clippers win for sure. The trade seems to be for salary purposes when in reality thr Wolevs only really save 3 mil.

Wolves open up $2.7mil more in 2010 cap space, and open up 2 roster spots this year. I absolutely love this trade for the Wolves, and I think it's solid for the Clippers as well.

The Wolves also consolidate their log jam at PF, and clear a spot for Rubio. This is an indication that talks are going well in Spain.
