Draft day moved to 9/5, 5:30PM. New settings are (hopefully) 10 teams, and week 15 & 16 playoffs.

League page is up and running. Please join as your s/n on RealGM so I know who you are. I adjusted the settings a bit so that QBs have a little more value since we're starting 2 of them. Other than that, I added some bonus rewards for players who have really good games (300 yd passing game, 200 yd rushing game, etc.). There's NO points for punt/kickoff return TDs. It was the default setting and I wasn't sure if I should turn it on. Anyways, join up so we can get this thing kicking!

Anyone interested in creating a RealGM LAC fantasy football league? I love me some fantasy football, but for this to work, we would need some active people. Right now, I'm just looking for a head count and we can see what draft dates would work and some rules we can all agree on. If not enough people are interested (I would want at least 10, but I'm willing to work with 8), then forget it.

I'm in. I've only done one fantasy football league, and I've never been very fantasy sports-savvy...but I'm in.

I'm interested.

Count me in, I hope we can get enough people this time.

I started with Fantasy Football and it sucked me in, so hopefully if this league does well it'll suck you in too. =D Of course, it all matters if you watch and like football too, so... and since LA doesn't have a team, it shouldn't mess you up in terms of cheering for the opposite team. Unless you're a Raiders fan... bwhaha.

Hm, we so far 3 people, 4 if you count me. I'll leave this thread here for another week and then I'll make judgement.

Eight people, schweet. Let's see if we can get two more and we can start talking. It seems like everyone would be comfortable using Yahoo, so I might we might as well use that then. =d

I would prefer yahoo, but if we use something else I wouldn't mind.

OK, 8 people will work. Now to the league rules. For one, this will be a Head-to-Head format (not Points) and a Snake draft (not auction). Secondly, I'm most probably going to make this a Yahoo league. My other league is on ESPN but the fantasy basketball league did pretty well on Yahoo so, should do fine with football.

Lastly, I'm open for discussion for points breakdown or what roster spots we want. I normally play 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 K, and 1 DST. However, some of you may want a Flex position (RB/WR and 2 WR rather than 3 WR) or IDP (pick out defensive players). I personally think that we should stay away from IDP.

For points, the only thing I change from the default settings is passing TDs = 6pts and INTs = -2pts. I'm fine with either though.

Feel free to comment. Also, draft dates-- I'm thinking a weekday night or afternoon weekend within the next 2 weeks. Let me know what's good for you and if you're unable to make it, you can always set your autodraft ratings-- which is better than nothing.

1) Head-to-Head is the way to go.

2) Snake Draft? WTH? All i know is Live Draft or, um, not live...

3) Yahoo is what i always play.

As far as roster spots goes.
I've played in 8 team leagues the last couple of years and we used the following roster spots.

QB, QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, K, K, DEF, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN

Thoughts?

I generally don't like leagues with less <12 players, but its fine with me. With only 8 people, it should be easier to at least set up a draft time that works for most people.

Well, can't really do anything about it if not that many people are interested. =p Also someone already said he knows he won't make the draft-- but we'll see about that.

Snake draft, it goes like: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. It just means it goes to one end and back the other... might be a new "term" I suppose. Two kickers seem redundant. Two QBs could be interesting, but can we all agree on that? I've never done it before, but my friends have.

When is the league gonna be made up? 8 teams is OK but I dunno if we can get a few more people to join. When ever the league is ready just post the info on here.

Or i've never cared how it's been called and just did the draft.
That's how every Yahoo Draft works and we should do so as well.

Yeah, two QB's would be good, cause we're only 8 teams and there should be enough quality playeres at that positions for everyone to fill the roster spots.

I'm used to just playing standard rules, but I'm open to anything.
