This must be a precursor to another move. I was looking forward to having Madsen on the bench, but whatever. I'm not going to lose any sleep over this.

I thought that we were going to waive him right after we acquired him. I do wonder what will be the next move that the team makes?

A signing or trade should be coming soon. This move makes room for Novak who wil back-up 3rd sting at the 3 and 4. Taking our roster to 13 I don't know who we are aiming for with the last spot.

This was a little unexpected. I too think there will be a trade going on. We usually lack big man depth, and I can't think of anyone who's behind Smith for the 3rd string PF spot..

If not Novak it will probably be Camby but I can see two young bulk players like Griffin and Smith handling majority of the time the 4 spot if needed not including injuries.

Right now our depth chart looks like this:

Baron/Telfair/Collins
Gordon/R. Davis
Butler/Thornton
Griffin/C. Smith
Camby/Kaman/Jordan

I'm thinking there will be 2 more small moves.

I'm kind of surprised he lasted this long, but still surprised to see him waived out of the blue. Happy trails Mark Madsen.

I hope that whatever additions/moves are made will not disappoint.

If Butler is starting we need a SG back-up.

I'm assuming a combo guard may be added, since we need some insurance at pg.

I still would like the Clippers to deal Telfair for a backup SG, and go after Sessions.

Interesting... the Clippers introduced him and gave him a jersey at the press conference and everything, so it doesn't seem like a premeditated move. It has been rumored the last 24 hours that the Bobcats were clearing room for Iverson, so releasing Madsen could very well be a response to the Iverson market, but I'm just speculating.

So will Butler still wear #42?

Maybe we are working on a trade involving The Bobcats so they can make cap room for AI?

Please just cut out Ricky "freakin" Davis.
I think Collins will do a way better job for us and i see him and Butler playing those remaining minutes(behind EJ) at the 2 spot.

As far as this move goes.
Yeah, to me it also looks like there's something in the works, cause waiving Madsen could've been done when we aquired him.
So let's see what happens next...
