It depends who starts at center imo. If Kaman starts, then I'd go with Butler. If Camby starts, then either one would be OK. Al spent much of the summer recovering from his shoulder injury, so I have no idea how much he was able to work on during the off-season. Al can rebound and take higher percentage shots when motivated, but the sample size isn't large enough to assume that. We do know that he can score; so if he doesn't show improvement in other areas to round out his game, then he's probably better off coming off the bench.

Butler all day for me. Cant stand watching Thornton play. Absolutely kills ball movement and doesn't seem to be much of a team player.

Butler. I hate Thornton's fade away bricks, and his OCD of having to shoot the ball everytime he touches it and his ADHD of remembering to pass the ball.

I think its about balancing offense and defense. Kaman has more offense, so when he starts we could start Butler. But Camby has very little offensive game (as does DJ), with those 2 I would start Thorton.

If we want more offense coming off the bench I say let Butler start unless Al shows us that he has improved his all around game. Then Al can start, but for now let's have Butler start.

I completely agree. Al should start if his defense has improved(which would be nice!). Strategically I think Rasual could be the better starting option because of his ability to spread the floor with his shooting. I got nothing but love for Thornton, but I really think he could thrive in a 6th-man/instant-offense role.

I agree. Butler may not score as much, but he will stretch the floor and give Kaman more room to operate in the post. I think that Camby can work with just about anybody, so I'm not as concerned with who is in the line up with him as I am with Kaman. We just need to optimize our players' strengths.

I'd like to see if we can get Webster or Greene. We have a big man to trade so we could get them and an expirer or something.
Greene has more talent than Thornton and his incredible shooting form would be a better asset than Thorn's illadvised attacking of the basket. Plus Greene has great size.

I would rather have Webster but im not sure if its worth giving up a solid big man. Big men with skills are hard to come by and Camby and Kaman are both good centers.
