Im wondering about who is actually on there roster at the moment. I heard from someone that Mcneal, Roberson, and Rush are all fighting for the 15th spot on the roster so is that whats going on?

cause they've named all of them here
http://www.nba.com/clippers/roster/

but some dont have numbers yet so that made me think whether those are the guys that arent on the team yet?

McNeal, Roberson & Rush are signed to non-guaranteed/make good contracts. Most teams sign a number of guys for training camp purposes. When Camby, Griffin & Telfair were out, we were still able to have three 5-man teams in practice. Gray was waived 1st due to him being injured, and because our bigs returned to practice from injury themselves. The other 3 always had a better shot at making the team because they can shoot/spread the floor. Since Dunleavy likes to play with 14 players for "flexibility", it's not likely that one of them makes the team unless they just happen totally impress the staff.

oh ok i think i get what your saying. So its not real likely that any of them will actually see playing time in the regular season? there just on the roster for another option type thing?

They are on the roster at the moment (for preseason), but could be waived at any time. We have 14 guaranteed contracts. The maximum amount of players you can have on your roster during the regular season is 15. So it is possible that one of them could make the final roster, but it isn't likely based on Dunleavy's past track record.

I don't see any of these 3 guys making the team. Our roster is already filled with players that can play and contribute. Dunleavy did a nice job of putting a real NBA roster. Anyone of the 14 players could be a player for another team. Unless there's a major injury, the only way we'll get up to 15 players is when the 10 day contracts are in effect (don't know exactly when but it is definitely towards the end of the season). Or if we do a 2 for 1 deal. The way Camby looks, unless we are totally out of the playoff picture, I don't see him getting traded before the deadline.

I think the one free agent we should sign is Rashad McCants. We can get him for the veteran's minimum and he could be a great backup to EG in case we don't resign Rasual after the season and let Ricky walk. SG is our weakest area outside of EG.
