Los Angeles Clippers waived guards Jerel McNeal and Anthony Roberson on Monday.

In two preseason games played with the Clippers, McNeal averaged 3.5 points in 4.5 minutes per game. Roberson tallied 1.3 points and 5.3 minutes in three preseason games played.

The Clippers' training camp roster currently stands at 15 players.

I wonder if Rush is still around for practice purposes or if he's going to make the team.

I hope he's not going to make the team. People overrate him even as a one-dimensional Spot-up shooter.

My guess is he is signed to a non guaranteed contract and Ricky is bought out before the year ends.

Shooting 54.5% FG and 62.5% 3FG thus far certainly doesn't hurt his chances. Both Rush and R. Davis can score, the difference is Rush actually makes his shots. A lineup of:

PF - Griffin
SF - Butler
C - Kaman
SG - Gordon
PG - Davis

2nd unit:

PF - Smith
SF - Thornton
C - Camby
SG - Rush
PG - Telfair

...sounds lethal. A non-guaranteed contract couldn't hurt. If he continues to perform, we can waive Bricky Davis and sign a PG or something.

Rush still has some value. Ricky Davis has depreciated into nothing. You make the call.

I hope we find a way to keep Rush and get rid of #31.

I'm hoping that this is also a sign that Bassy is ready to play. I'd rather have Rush than Ricky also, though I doubt we'll waive him anytime soon. A combo who could run point if one of Baron or Bassy were out would be best, but another shooter isn't a bad thing. I'd say give him a chance. We can always cut him in a couple months if we need make some roster adjustments.

I guess we are either going to keep Rush or waive him at the end of the pre season. For some reason I feel that Dunleavy is just going to keep a 14 man roster like he usually does.

Anybody know what Jerel's plans are now? Overseas, D-League?? Im sure Roberson can go down to the D-League and earn his way back onto someones roster around mid season.

^I haven't heard anything about what he plans to do. The D League and playing over seas are two realistic options for him.
