Mardy Collins?

Any news on him? I haven't heard any update on him or what his role is gonna be on the team. I really like this guy and for some of the games down the stretch last year he stepped up. I know he is not a good shooter and is more of a over-sized point guard but I really like his ball-handling skills. I could see him and Gordon on floor at the same time. It's like Gordon and Collins should switch bodies.

I'm not too familiar with Collins game, but like you said, he did step up for us last year barring all those injuries. From what I hear, the strongest point of his game is his defense, so that should come in handy if he gets some playtime tonight.

He's just riding the end of the bench with Novak. He's a capable backup, but Telfair has done a fairly good job at backup PG, then with the Butler acquisition there's no need for Mardy to even handle SF duties at all. He'll be a good guy to go to if the team suddenly gets plagued with injuries, but until then the only help we really need is at backup SG.

I don't really know why Ricky doesn't get more minutes to give EJ a bit of a rest. EJ is been super hot to start the season so I guess that's one of the reasons, but Ricky's shot seems to have been going down when he played in very limited minutes. Even Kareem Rush has been put in ahead of him at times.. So I wonder what's going on there.

I'd like to see Mardy get more time with the second unit. They could use his defense. I would take him on the floor over Al any day.

Maybe because Mardy Collins sucks? Just a rational thought...

Novak should get more time, though.

I'd rather see Mardy and Novak out there over The Brickster.
