Star of the Game 11/27 VS Pistons

Post#1 » by mkwest » Sat Nov 28, 2009 3:53 am

This is a game you'd have to see to believe, and we didn't get to see most of the 4th quarter. This team has been beyond frustrating to watch as of late, because you never know which Clipper team is going to come out and play on any given night. Tonight's team, like many of our other teams this season didn't know how to rebound, but they managed to score more points than the other team.

Baron had a great game. 25 points on 9 shots, 11-11 from FT and 2-3 from 3 and 10 assists. Those are some of the best numbers that we have seen from him since he's been here. Baron Davis and the word efficiency don't usually go together unless there is a negative word in front of it. Hats off to him tonight. Kaman had a horrible game on Wednesday night, and bounced back with a strong 26 point (11-13 shooting) peformance in front of Pam and Leroy.

I went with Thornton who came to life in the 4th quarter and put up 12 of our 29. He a key assist to Kaman and some big boards on a night that we needed every single one that we could get. He, like Kaman, also came off of an absolutely horrendous game. He followed it up with an efficient and clutch performance to help us seal the victory.

Finally home for Thanksgiving so I can watch a broadcast, and they have to have technical difficulties! So lame. Anyways, Kaman did well but I think I have to vote for Baron because he was composed and efficient. Crazy!

My mind is just all over the place with this team. Honestly 7-10 isn't even that bad with the injuries we've had, but the amount of games we've thrown away is just sickening. I think with December coming up it will either make or break the season since things will only get tougher. Will we finally step it up as Blake comes back from the injury, or just continue on with inconsistency?

As for tonight, I didn't get to watch the whole game. I probably saw just the 2nd and 3rd quarter, but I chose Baron. It was hard to choose between him, Kaman, and Al for his good 4th quarter play.

I give it to Baron. After his stinker against Minny, he's played really well the last two nights. Without him, we would have lost tonight.

The next six games are at home: Memphis, Houston, Indiana, Orlando, San Antonio, and Washington. For us to get to .500, we have to go 5-1. Let's do this!

We both know that 5-1 is wishful thinking. At best I see a 3-3 with a 2-4 being worst case scenario.

Boom Dizzle, no doubt about it. He looks the best I've seen him in a Clipper uniform.

5-1 is wishful thinking but so is being a Clipper fan. I've been a fan for 20+ years and I'm only 30 so that should say a lot about me. haha

We haven't played well at home but I'm hoping we can take care of Memphis, Houston, and Indiana. 3 games with 2 days off in between. Then, maybe get Blake back for Orlando, SA, and Washington.

After that, we go to Minny, NY, and Philly. Not to jump ahead but if we can't get over .500 after these 9 games, we're in trouble cause after that is @ SA, @ HOU, @ PHX, vs BOS, @ POR, and vs PHI.

We're 7-10 right so we will have to go 9-6 in December to be at .500. We have to beat the teams we should beat and maybe steal one or two that we shouldn't win.

Thanksgiving was ruined with that loss to Indy so hopefully Christmas will be better. haha

The most efficient game I have ever seen Baron play. Kaman also played a great game and Thornton in the 4th. Need to hit the glass though! Strange considering Camby, Kaman, Baron, Thornton are all considered good rebounders for their positions.

Baron. He played an all-around solid game.

most of our losses are against teams that have more injuries to more important players.
