Clippers Manifesto1. Clips offense has to get off to a good start. So far they been shooting above 50% and have a 4-1 record to prove it.
2. Continue to attack the post at will. Draw fouls and hit the boards.
3. Landry, Brooks, and Ariza have to be kept in check. Make them work for their shots. Otherwise if they get loose, it will be a long day for the Clips.
4. No T-Mac, No Yao, The Clips have no excuses to lose this game. In the words of Larry the Cable Guy

i think you have to mention aaron brooks. he has the ability to light teams up especially with slower guards, i think baron davis might have trouble staying in front of him. this is not going to be an easy game imo, but definitely a game that we should have a chance to win

A win here, 76ers win, and Pacers win we are looking good in the playoff hunt. This seems like a lot but it could happen we have to root for Elton Brand and co.

lol

I am doubtful but I hope the Clippers win only because the Rocket are the team that have the "won't quit, won't die" mentally and they have beaten good teams this year. Nevertheless the Clippers did beat the Nugget so anything is possible. Go Clips!

This is definitely a must win for us. Houston is a tough team with a very good coach who is going to get the most out of his guys. The Rockets are one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the league. We have had a tendency in our previous games to give up offensive rebounds to our opponents. We need to work harder on that. We may have the size, but fundamentals and effort work hand in hand in pulling down a board. Hayes is a good defender, but Kaman needs to go to work early and shake this slump he is in. He needs to use his size advantage and his versatility on him. Landry is probably the guys that is the one that concerns me the most. He's averaging 19.5 PPG & just under 4 O-RPG.
Hopefully EJ's hammy is feeling up to par and he is able to give it a go. We have a good opportunity to make up some ground in the Western Conference standings and build on our recent winning streak. 5 out of 6 sounds good to me regardless of who we have played.

I think this game comes down to focus and effort. Obviously we have more talent than the Rockets, but the question is are we going to give a better effort than the Rockets? We need to show consistency on defense, it will be easier if EJ is able to play this game. We just need to play hard, stay focused, and not give up the offensive rebounds. We should also use the size that we have to our advantage.
We have a homestand and need to take advantage of that as well.

Houston is a very resilient team, so as long as we play hard and don't revert to the "old" Clippers team, I'll be content regardless of the outcome. But of course, a W is always nice whether it's ugly or beautiful.
On a side note, hopefully EJ's injury isn't too severe and we'll see a bit of time from him. Also, I'm pulling for Butler to shoot the lights out once again. Nothing would make me happier than seeing a bit of consistency from him.

Hopefully EJ will be able to go tonight, cause if not, we'll be in for a long night.
Still, even with him, those Rockets are tough to play and as said before, containing Brooks should be a key to the game, as Baron's not that good at defending those cat quick pg's.

The LA Times said today that EJ didn't practice yesterday and is a game-time decision tonight. It doesn't sound to me like he'll go...but here's hopin!

We need to guard the 3 point shooters. Ariza and Brooks in particular. Don't forget this same team beat the lakers soundly.

Lol that's pretty sweet to know. Enjoy the game.

This one should be pretty tough. I think everyone expected Houston to be a lottery team, but apparently most of us forgot how they always play hard. Forget about Brooks too.. We gotta make sure Landry doesn't kill us like he usually does.

I think there is a good chance that Scola plays in this game. He's our best player. If he doesn't play, the Rockets are in deep trouble especially considering how thin our front court is.

The Rox stated in their pregame report that Scola may have to sit this one out with the stitches he had placed over his eye after the hit he took in the last game.
And bk, you're right. Brooks is an offensive explosion waiting to happen if the defense doesn't clamp down on him and make him work for his shots.

Well, I won't feel all that bad for doing this since it's not a serious injury, but yaaaay!

That will help us a bunch, but I hope Scola gets better soon and can play in the game after this.

When does In N Out not sound great?
Gordon is a game time decision.

You guys are making me hungry.. Although I'm a bigger fan of Carl's Jr. Gah.. They have such tasty burgers.. I miss their philly cheese steak one.

I find In n out burgers to be kinda small.
