I may be mistaken, but dont we have the Twolves' 2010 first round pick from the Sam Cassell - Marko Jaric trade? If so, theyre 2-15 so far in the season and will end up as one of the worst teams at season's end. That means we get a top pick in the draft :)

Unfortunately, it's Top-10 protected for 2 more seasons. 2012 is when it will be unprotected and when we'll likely get it.

Los Angeles Clippers receive Minnesota's 2010 first-round pick (top 10 protected through 2011 and unprotected after). (Marko Jaric trade 081205).

Well, I expect it will still be a pretty high pick in 2012. At least, recent history suggests this.
Poor Al Jefferson. I can't believe what happened to that guy.

I dont see Minnesota being a playoff team by 2011-2012 season, so its likely that we'll still get a top 14 pick.

But...if Minny's 2010 draft pick happens to be out of top 10 and ours somewhere around there (assuming we wont make the playoffs, even if we do our pick would be around 15-18)
Could we trade those 2 picks for a top 3?
