Kaman lacks D

Chris Kaman was recently diagnosed with a Vitamin D deficiency, which made him listless and tired.
He has since been prescribed various antibiotics and supplements, and he isn't in danger of missing any games. His play has fallen off after a hot start to the season, so hopefully this will get him back on track.

^ I see what you did there...
Anyways, how come Kaman is always diagnosed with these different things each season (or maybe the question is why does the L.A. Times report on his health all the time)? I don't really hear about other players' vitamins, prescription medications, brain scans or anything not related to a game-related injury.

Nice pun. Thank goodness we got to the root of Kaman's recent slump. And to think, that if we shot everyone up with some Vitamin D this all could have been avoided.

This is for all the NBA players and athletes, please drink your milk or take supplements of some kind. it's important to get all your nutrients, it's also important for all of us to do the same.

Most NBA players would have some trouble drinking milk, since 75% of afro-americans are lactose intolerant.

That's why I also said supplements because I know that not everyone can drink milk. I have a few people in my family that can't handle milk. I guess I'm in the 25% that can tolerate lactose.

My bad. I do think however that Thornton & BD's zone defense would increase quite a bit if they'd drink a gallon of milk before each game.

Ummm....he lives in Los Angeles...why not go out and get some SUNLIGHT? One hour in the sun gives you 10,000 IU of vitamin D. Compare that to 400 IU in a typical vitamin D supplement.
Also, he's being giving anti-biotics!?!??!?! WFT for? They kill the bacteria in your intestines that your body needs to convert food into energy. And milk....that's another story, but it can cause digestive problems.
I think these doctors don't know what the hell they are doing. Every NBA team should have a full time natural doctor that makes the players take supplements and eat right.

I've never been impressed with our medical staff.
