Ask Eric PincusIf games were three quarters long, what would the Clippers record be?
Larry, Irvine
Eric Pincus: In the aftermath of the disappointing fourth quarter against the Orlando Magic, it certainly seems like the Clippers have lost their share of games in the final period.
I ran the numbers and came up with an interesting answer.
First of all, two of the games were tied after three. The Clippers won one and lost one.
Of the Clippers 21 games, they’ve carried a lead into the fourth eight times – winning half.
Four times they’ve ended the third with a deficit to pull out a win.
Of the remaining seven games, they were down to start the final period and lost.
Tally everything up – including splitting the ties – and after three quarters the Clippers would be...
Wait for it...
9-12.
Which is exactly where they stand after 21 games.
Do you see the Clippers keeping the Minnesota pick or packaging it in a trade?
Anto, Los AngelesAnto, I may have answered this one before but the way I look at it, do you trade away the top pick in the draft? If the Wolves can’t get back on track by 2012, the Clippers may have a lottery shot at No. 1.
I wouldn’t give that up – unless it was bringing back an absolute superstar.

I'll predict another loss, 4th quarter choke again. San Antonio is full of veterans who know how to play a full game. I just hope we don't embarrassed and have someone like Bonner torch us.

Gee, Panda, Bonner is really good at the threes --- there are probably more embarrassing things that could happen to our team --- in fact, there have been more embarrassing things happen already this very season.
We really have to batten down the hatches for the Spurs game, though.
I have it set up to tape, and will start watching an hour late. If it looks like a steamroller job, I may spare myself the pain.

I have a gut feeling we will win tomorrow. But then again I had the same feeling vs Orl. San Antonio is not unbeatable but we have to take a big lead in the 4th quarter or we won't win. Makes me realize how good cassell was!

Lol, this is the story of my life when comes to the Clippers; a trait of a Clipper fans, I think. We just gotta get it together, string some wins together....not much more to say I guess, other than "Go Clips!"

Currently the Spurs are 6-8 in the Western Conference. Although the Spurs are a very good veteran team. Clearly right now the record doesn't reflect that this early in the season. If the Clips could stop choking themselves in the fourth quarter and play more efficiently in games. They may have a chance in some games and perhaps could've more a few more than what their record is set at right now. This game I predict a loss considering it's the Spurs we're talking about.
If they expect to beat the Spurs. They can't screw around with these guys. Get smart. Do things like keep TP from slashing to the post. Gordon needs to own Keith Bogans. Al needs to get aggressive against RJ on both ends of the floor. B-Diddy needs to slash to the hole and don't jak up dumb shots. Get the ball movement going strong. Get the second unit to be aggressive and make some plays. Just come out the gates playing smart bball for 48mins and give themselves a fighting chance.

If we want to beat them, we'll need someone else then EJ hitting a couple of deep jumpers.
Given how good our other guys are at that, i don't have a real good feeling about this one...

Looks like Baron is doubtful for tonights game with some stomach issue. Anyway, it will be very difficult to get a win out of this one.

The Clips have a history of playing the Spurs tough. Just when you think we should be blown out, we loose in OT to San Antonio.
Hopefully there will be more fans @ Staples cheering on the Clips.
Can't wait to get to my seats & watch a great game!!

A win here could build toward a win streak.

I hope we can give a good effort and win tonight. I've been studying all day for my final tomorrow and working on a paper. I won't be watching this one but looking at the box score from time to time. I hope we can pull this one out
