Game #31: Sixers(9-22) @ Clippers(13-18)

by Det the Threat
After being outworked by an undermanned and undersized team in Portland, the Clippers will head back to Los Angeles to play the Philadelphia 76ers in a back-to-back game. The Sixers are one of the worst teams of the league, but the Clippers will have to re-adjust, as they won't be able to just pound the rock inside, with guys like Dalembert, Speights and the Traitor on the Sixers squad.

Blake Griffin and Kareem Rush will be sidelined for the Clippers, as Griffin's still a couple of weeks away from returning and Rush will be out for the season.

Questions:
Can we handle those two quick guards?
Will Kaman keep up his solid offensive play?
How many rebounds will Camby get in this one?

I'll go with a win. We seem to bounce back from losses alright. Other than the SAS/PHX game we've been playing .500 ball in the last month or so.

I'm so pissed at Dunleavy I couldn't sleep last night. I hope terrible things happen to him in 2010.

Dunleavy isn't coaching tonight. He messed up a disk in his back and is out tonight. Tony Brown will be leading the boys.

Does this sound bogus to anyone?

Maybe he's gone, but the team isn't ready to announce it.

Oh, could we really be so lucky??? After all this time??? Don't get our hopes up so, Hooch.

I voted for a win.
Who can vote for their team to lose on New Year's Eve under a blue moon --- it's time for the basketball gods to start smiling bigtime on the Clippers.

A pretty uninspiring first quarter up to now --- Clippers went 3 minutes without hitting the mark once while the Sixers got 9 points. Clippers trailing by 9 at the moment.
Brand just entered the game --- the boos were the best thing so far about this game.

Kaman has already taken 12 FG attempts and made only 3 of them

Man, that steal and dunk by Brand was hard to swallow.

About Kaman --- unfortunately, Dalembert seems to have his number tonight. Hate to see those effective blocks.

Five point game at the end of the first. Could have been worse: we were down by 13 at one point.
Clippers are going to have to step it up somewhat to hold me to the end of the game.
You're right on, Panda, that DeAndre move was the kind of thing that will make the game worth watching. We just need a lot more like that, and a lot less of getting beat by Brand.

Kaman is too trigger happy tonight.. 13 shot attempts and we're at the 7 minute mark in the 2nd..

I can't think of too many players in this league more selfish than Chris Kaman.... well we do have one on our team in No Sharrington but Kaman never passes unless he decides to throw Camby a bone only because drops dimes to him on a regular.

It's sad watching your team play 90% through him.

Did you say tonight?

Well let's look at a couple key important statistics...

Kaman thus far has attempted 528FGA but he only has 56ast. It's very close to a ratio of 10FGA to every 1AST

He's naturally and normally selfish as Doug Collins alluded to..."The Team Has Talent And Has Stretches Of Good Play But Often The Players Play For Stats"

It's not that bad when he's hitting his shots, but he isn't tonight. :P
