Even after that disheartening loss from last night I'm pretty excited about this news from the wiretap.
http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... oyal_fans/It is just a study and I don't know how you can really quantify this, I'm just happy that we are named the most loyal fans. We all know it's not easy to be a fan and personally I think we all must be a little crazy or there is something with us that has us continue to support a team that doesn't normally win. But if your team isn't a perennial winner then you must be patient. I know personally I've been a fan for awhile now and I don't think I'm ever going to stop rooting for the Clippers.

Damn straight we are. I don't think any other franchise has gone through the crap that we have with our front office. GSW is pretty close, as is Memphis, but we definitely got the top spot when it comes to stupidity on team management.
I guess I'm a little bit of both crazy and enjoy supporting the underdog.

I use to be a huge Pats fan when Bledsoe lead the team, but once Brady took over and won a superbowl, I kinda lost interest in football. I'm more passionate about basketball anyways.

It's fun rooting for underdog teams. Just by surfing around on this website, I'd say we have one of the most active forums.
After the loss last night, I was curious about how excited the Nets fans were, so I went to their forums, and what did I find? Absolutely nothing.
But yeah, I agree with you guys. Sometimes I question why I support such a team that seems like it can never get its act together.

Thanks for the recognition, WSJ. And you're damn right!

I see they based this on attendance at games --- so they aren't even counting the rest of us, who don't live in LA but support the team loyally for years anyway.
I've always found this a highly interesting subject, the loyalty of Clippers fans, and have discussed it with my son many times.
Clippers fans have to have certain traits in vast quantities, or we couldn't be Clippers fans for longer than a game or two, and I think it is partly for those traits that I've always liked the people on this board so much --- so that after arriving with Shaun Livingston, I didn't even consider leaving with him.

7 year Season Ticket Holder, 1st year on this board. This team site is amazing w/ so many diverse & loyal Clippers fans. We must need our heads examined, but there is no way I am EVER wearing Purple & Gold together.
Can You Believe Kaman is going to get an ALL-Star Snub. Absolutely, Garbage!

Ive been a Clipper fan ever since i started watching basketball. I may have only watched like 3 games at the staples center, but i am a loyal fan even though i have a lot of friends that are laker fans. This certainly shines some light for how loyal we are. I mean theres no reason to bandwagon with us, so if we do get added fans, theyre real fans

Loyal is one way to put it.
I would say stubborn with really bad taste.

Finally something associated with the Clippers gets some type of recognition.

Some may say we are crazy, masochistic, etc., but at the end of the day there is not a better word to describe us than loyal. It's not easy. It's kind of funny that this comes after last night's demoralizing loss. The fact remains that most of us are going to come back for more. Some fans have it easier, some fans make it easier by hopping from bandwagon to bandwagon. We have chosen our team and we stick with it. They haven't been glamorous and have only had (very) limited success so far, but that just means that the enjoyment will be much more appreciated when the successes do come. 2005-2006 is still the pinnacle, but hopefully the future holds much more for us and this team.

I think time will come, we're going in the right direction. For Clipper standards we've had some pretty good records this decade. 37 win, 39 wins, 40 wins, 45 wins

It's actually 47. As Clipper fans, we can't shortchange ourselves.
