I think Dunleavy has pulled the strings of Clipper's Fans and the entire NBA.
Doesn't anyone see how he has removed himself from the stage to entice Lebron James or any other Free Agents like Rudy Gay or Joe Johnson. As G.M. he can deal behind closed doors.
Don't the Clips have about 32 million in Cap Space next year?
WHO WOULDN't want to Join Baron,Kaman, Griffin & Gordon +++++++
we have Craig Smith & "Jumping Jack Flash" -- Deandre Jordan
1) Would Lebron James be interested in joining the Clips w/ Mike Dunleavy as COACH?
would Lebron like a say who his next COACH is?????
Doesn't Lebron want to take Kobe's Town & Crown??? L.A. land of Music, Movies & Beautiful People
2) Tanking & Fire Sale coming shortly
Thanks Marcus for the "almost" 2 seasons of service. Hopefully we get an expiring and a good bench player for you.
Lottery, LUCKY, Lottery........... I am feeling good
Why did Dunleavy step aside now?? Written just like a movie script

Two things:
1. I think you meant "2010 Free Agency..."
2. As of now we are projected to have about $11 million in cap space and that's if we renounce the rights to all of our free agents. Still we would have to cut some more 2010-11 salary to be able to sign a max FA.

2010 you are right.
I think we have more money than $11 million.
Expiring Contracts??? Camby + R Davis + Thorton?? + M. Collins

Re: 2009 Free Agency + a "New" Coach SEARCH
We have little over $39mil committed next year for Baron, Kaman, Blake, Gordon, Thornton, DJ and Telfair assuming he will pick up his player option worth $2.7mil.
We still don't know what the cap will be. The expectation is somewhere around $54 maybe 55 million.
In that case we would have barely enough cap space for a max FA. I'm not sure the draft pick counts towards our cap, but it shouldn't since we can sign a FA before we sign our draft pick.
The problem with signing a max player like Lebron, Wade or Joe Johnson that we'll have 9 players on the roster and would be allowed sign only minimum contract for the rest of the roster.

Draft picks have cap holds. Here's a list for draft pick cap holds for the prior 2 seasons.
As far as what we can do in free agency, it all depends where the cap lands. Things are looking better as donemilio stated. One thing to consider about max money is that as the cap goes up, the max number goes up. $16.5M or so will be the magic number. Thornton and Telfair would both have to be traded, if we were to keep the other players who are under contract.

I'm pretty sure we can find a taker for Telfair/Thornton quite easily to clear up more cap space.

Hey,
GSW fans here. Anyone here want to get rid of a contract? Preferably around 5millions a year contract. We can offer D-Nellie, he's a player/coach although he coaches 100% of the time. He'll become an expire next year. Anyone?
