Talib under investigation over gun incident

Post#1 » by craig01 » Tue Mar 29, 2011 12:00 am

Talib apparently got into an altercation of sorts with his sisters boyfriend.

Witnesses said the girlfriend's mother fired shots at the boyfriend while Talib also fired a couple of shots.

Trouble is as trouble does.

If this turns out true, I believe his time with the Bucs is done. Look for the Bucs to draft a CB if Talib is really in trouble.

Update: A Felony warrant has been issued for both Talib and his mother.

This is not looking good for the Bucs. They either need to get one through free agency, but hard to say whether they will or not considering the Bucs' track record, or they are going to have to draft one and I am not too high on anyone besides Patrick Peterson and Prince Amukamara and I doubt they get anywhere close to the Bucs' pick.

This puts the Bucs in a bad situation with Barber coming to the end of his career and not really having any other shutdown corner, solid corners but not shutdown. This is a bad situation.

The potential for an ugly ending is there

Yeah, the timing couldn't be worse.

Hopefully this thing gets undone somehow and the charges are proved false.

I don't expect it though

The way it looks now, the Bucs could be done with Talib. Morris hinted a few weeks back the Bucs may be active in FA. Here is an updated Mock of the Bucs I did,

*Updated after Talib News*

Rd 2) CB Ras-I Dowling
Rd 3) ILB Greg Jones

It's just a shame that this guy lacks common sense.

He's a terrific player but dang......seems like he almost wants to self destruct

Imagine if both T-Jax and Talib would have been able to stay out of trouble. That would be a sick secondary for the Bucs.

Both were on their way to being top 5 at their position.

Kendrick and Romeus will both be gone long before the rounds you have them in here.

Kendricks yes, now. I did that back in March. Mocks then had him going in rd 6 or 7, now have him going in 3rd or 4th. Romeus will go 4th or 5th. Maybe some team picks him up in the 3rd. :dontknow:
