Gruden to Ohio St rumors begin

Post#1 » by craig01 » Mon May 30, 2011 10:28 pm

THis time there could be some teeth to the rumors down the road.

Certainly nothing will happen this year, but after the dust settles who knows?

Personally, I can't see Gruden being happy having to recruit in kids living rooms and practically selling/begging the merits of a program.

I don't see it either, although he is an Ohio guy. See him getting an NFL HC gig in the next season or two.

It just amazes me at how often the Gruden name comes up with an NCAA opening.

To me, that is like the old "square peg/round hole" thing.

I agree.....it'll be the NFL if and when he decides to coach again.

Urban Meyer, Bob Stoops and Bo Pelini(all Ohio guys) will be leading candidates, If I were Stoops, I'd stay at OU. And I think he will. I think Urban or Bo will get the job in 2012. They will most likely keep the interim they have now through out this season.

To me, Meyer is the most likley target......but I would doubt he'd even take it for at least a couple of years.

Whether or not he wants the job remains to be seen given the sanctions that will come down on OSU.
