Saints at Bucs 9/15 game thread...

Post#1 » by Nemesis21 » Thu Sep 12, 2013 3:18 pm

This is a 4:05 pm kickoff. Not looking good, the Bucs quite possibly could start the season 0-3, with giving the game away vs Jets last week, then hosting the Saints this week and playing at NE the following week.

WDAE was reporting this morning that Freeman is "likely" to request a trade before the trade deadline. All is not well in the locker room.

Yeah, 0-3 looks probable at this point, and if the apparent dysfunctional attitudes remain......this may prove to be a very long year.

Bucs lose 16-14, Lindell missed at 47 yd FG with 1:10 left in the game. Would have put the Bucs up by 4. Defense played a good game, but couldn't stop Brees from getting the Saints in FG territory.

I like Schaino as a coach, but he has been against Freeman from day 1. That pisses me off, Josh can be good. If he's not back next season, Gleannon ain't nothing. Might as well draft someone like AJ McCarron in rd 2.

The problem is that if the Bucs don't resign Freeman, then who will they get?

There aren't exactly a lot of quality QB's floating around these days.

Draft another one and start over. Glennon ain't nothing. I doubt the veterans especailly those who came via FA and trade, Nicks, VJax, Goldson, Revis want to rebuild. I honestly don't know what Schiano has against Freeman, he has all the tools, has had 3 or 4 OC's since being drafted by the Bucs. Schiano has been against Freeman from day 1 with no reason, and that pisses me off.

The Bucs defense played really well for 59 minutes.

Although a 47 FG is certainly make able, I was half-way thinking that the Bucs would have been better off punting as the risk of missing the FG was going to leave the Saints (with no timeouts left) in too good of field position.
