Ouch that sucks... Pelfrey + Phillies ball park = Major trouble for the pitching but the way Beltran and the rest of the crew are pounding the ball, I have no worries at all.

FOR THE SWEEP!!! That would mean we went 9-1 in our last 10 games with a win tomorrow.

I just heard the announcer talk about it after the game on FAN - I got the impression it was just routine sorness and they wanted to give him time off. I didn't get the impression it was serious.

the guy will be a fringe 5th starter his whole career

game is unwatchable when he is out there

Pelfrey didn't pitch terrible, he also didn't pitch great either. He did OK. His problem is still falling behind in counts where he has to come in with his fastball and thats when he gets hit hard. I'd like to see what he can do when he's confident and throwing strikes and spotting his pitches well. Untill that happens, we're never going to know if he can be a successful pitcher in the majors. He is still young and most starting pitchers struggle early on.

Perez is going to start Tuesday - they just wanted to give him 2 extra days rest (sore back)

Sosa is on the IR I think, so Pelf will probably get another start or two.
