Thought I'd make a thread for FA signings, any trades and the draft picks the Bucs make.
Today they re-signed LB Jonathan Casillas to a 1 yr deal.

Bucs release RG Davin Joseph, freeing up $6 million. Bucs are now nearly $25 million under the cap.
http://www.pewterreport.com/index.php?o ... &Itemid=15I would have liked to see Joseph stay, but after restructuring his contract. Hopefully Donald Penn gets released too.

Bucs release Darrelle Revis, he signs 1 yr deal with the Pats,
http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story/_/i ... d-patriotsI would have liked to see Revis stick around.
Bucs have signed FA's DE Michael Johnson, DT Clinton McDonald, CB Alterraun Verner, TE Brandon Meyers and QB Josh McCown.

McCown will be the starter, which leaves the position still at a pedestrian level. However, Glennon just is not even pedestrian at this point in time regardless of what his stats were.
Revis leaving is going to hurt, but I understand why.
Myers had a really good year two years ago, and could fit in nicely.

The Bucs had plenty of cap room before releasing him. So the trade of last year's 1st and 3rd(now is officially a 4th rd pick) picks to get him, is beyond horrible. I don't see why they got rid of him, because he's not a Tampa 2 CB??? I believe he can play in any system, and would have liked to see how he did being 2 yrs back from that injury.

Bucs sign former Packers, FA C Even Dietrich-Smith to a 4 yr deal. The Bucs will likely release C Jeremy Zuttah and would free up another almost $5 million.

Lovie Smith has said Josh McCown is his # 1 QB. I've also read around, the Bucs are likely to shop Glennon for a mid round pick. Also that Lovie and Jason Licht will draft a QB within the first 2 rounds, to sit and learn from Josh and the coaches and to be ready to start in 2016.

Bucs signs former USF standout and Dallas Cowboys CB Mike Jenkins to a 1 yr deal.
Devin Hester signs with the Falcons. I don't know why the Bucs waited so long, he wasn't commanding a lot of money.

Bucs trade G/C Jeremy Zuttah to the Ravens for a mid round draft pick in 2015,
http://www.buccaneers.com/news/article- ... 4350bde069Lame sauce that the pick isn't until 2015. Bucs don't have a 4th or 6th round pick in 2014, would have been nice to get a pick in one of those rounds for Zuttah in this upcoming draft.

I hope Carl is going to be healthy for the season, because when healthy he is one the best guards in football, but I really hope that they draft a guard just in case Nicks isn't ready to go.

I do too, I'm hoping they take LG Gabe Jackson from Mississippi State in the 2-3 round range. He reminds me of Carl Nicks.

Without a proper QB, I just don't see this team doing anything substantial. But it's a good first step signing a quality coach. I wish to Buddha we could draft Bortles...
