2 weeks until the NFL Draft, 2nd to last mock of 2017....

With all three of Fournette(#4 Jags) Cook(#8 Panthers) and McCaffery(#14 Philly) off the board at #19(the Bucs have shown a ton of interest in both Cook and McCaffery, met with and worked out both), in this scenario I have the Bucs trading down from 19 to 26 with Seattle, who moves up to draft OT/G Forrest Lamp. The Bucs get #26 along with 2 of the 3 third round picks that Seattle has(we get 90 & 106) the Bucs also send their 6th round pick to Seattle.

Rd 1 #26) S Obi Melifonwu
Rd 2 #50) DE Jordan Willis
Rd 3 #84) RB Joe Mixon
Rd 3 #90) WR Chris Godwin
Rd 3 #106) TE Jake Butt
Rd 4 #125)OT/G Julie'n Davenport
Rd 5 #162) DT Vincent Taylor
Rd 7 #237) FB Freddie Stevenson

The Bucs are said to be very high on Njoku, was he gone at #19 as well? If not they probably stay put and take him. I think the value is good here pretty much across the board, though I do wonder if the Bucs will be willing to role the dice on Mixon. I personally would.

The Bucs could do a lot worse than this.

Probably not, yes they are high on him, but IMO use the 1st round pick on a bigger need RB or S. I would have said WR before Jackson signing. They have options in the middle rounds for a TE to pair with Brate. I personally would stay away from Mixon if it were in the first 2 rounds, the Bucs brought him in for work out and talked to him. They do like him. If available in round 3 he would be a steal.

I think some team will gamble on Mixon between the middle of round 2 and round 3.

So with what I just said and with my mock above. You get two game changers on defense with the first two picks, you add 3 offensive weapons in round 3 and you get a very solid versatile O lineman in round 4, provides depth and competition on the line. Last two picks fill depth.
