Isaiah Stanback trying to learn receiver position

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Fri Jun 20, 2008 2:46 am

Isaiah Stanback isn’t usually the silent type, except when he is frustrated, angry or upset. Then, he grows quiet, preferring to "deal with things myself."

The Dallas Cowboys’ receiver had "one of those weeks" during the team’s organized team activities a couple of weeks ago.

"It’s one of those things where I felt like everything I did was wrong," Stanback said. "Everybody knows more than you at the position, and every time you try to do it right, it’s still wrong. It was just frustrating."

Stanback had a quiet year in his first NFL season, but the Cowboys remain confident he has a chance to become all the talk with his play. They drafted him in the fourth round, knowing he was a project.

Stanback was a quarterback for most of his four-year career at Washington. He had not been at receiver since his freshman season when he played sparingly, making 10 catches for 143 yards.
