Pacman Jones works with Dallas Cowboys' first team

The Dallas Cowboys are beginning to take a closer look at cornerback Pacman Jones. And that look is coming with the first-team defense.

During Wednesday’s mini-camp, Pacman took several repetitions with the first-team defense and played in the sub packages. His time on the field cut into the repetitions of starter Anthony Henry.

The move left Henry frustrated by the reduction in reps while Pacman took his place working alongside Terence Newman.

"I’ve been playing in this league for eight years. I’m not blind to it," Henry was quoted as saying on the Cowboys’ team Web site. "I knew what time it was when the transaction happened at the draft. I already knew what time it was. It’s just a matter of when. And maybe when is now."

Henry said after practice Wednesday afternoon that he was not going to discuss the depth chart.

Henry eventually could move to safety, but he is not expected to lose his starting cornerback job anytime soon.

New secondary coach Dave Campo did not acknowledge that Pacman was working with the first team and said the coaching staff is simply mixing and matching personnel.
