What do Cowboys need? I think most positions are fairly set with emergence of Austin, Free, Spencer, Jenkins, Sensebaugh, Ball, Phillips. Could maybe use some help on O line depth as starters are older.
I think that a move that could make Cowboys D better is to take Mount Cody. Start him with Ratliff on the end. On passing downs, move Ratliff to NG and bring in Bowen or Hatcher.
What do you think? What is needed? Who will fill that role? Give Sweet Greggo a call (no one will get that)

Re: 2010 Draft
All of those linebackers drafted last year have to have some push to Barbie Carpenter, who actually showed a little something late in the year. Some were safeties in college, and need to show aggressiveness on nickle and Special teams. I see Cody on mock draft here at 48. Jerry would love nothing more than to trade his 1st for a for a 2nd and 5th to move down to pick up a big name. Watch it happen. Jerry went on the cheap last draft, and I think he may do so again with the lack of need. Cowboys also need a kicker

As I have watched the other playoff games, I think that OL might be the way to go to get in here.

Re: 2010 Draft
IMO, they need to come out of this draft with two offensive linemen. That's with the idea that they will not cut any of their current active roster personell. Personally, the guy I would target with the 27th pick or early 2nd round trade back, would be C Maurkice Pouncey. Guys who are strong enough to move from center to guard are a pretty rare breed. If you visit the various Cowboys sites throughout the web, people are clamouring for tackles or Iupati the guard from Idaho. But as good as Iupati may be, 2011 is supposed to be a good year for guards in the draft and, as I stated earlier, getting a large center is an opportunity that does not come around every draft.

Re: 2010 Draft
iupati likely wont be there by our pick, he's the go to guy though if he is there
if we go o-line we need to decide if we wanna cut one of our starters or let the rookie sit and learn. free impressed in his time at RT last year, also remember our 2nd pick last year (believe he was a 3rd rounder) robert brewster will likely be one of our backup guards. also does free have the ability to start at left tackle and replace flozell?
our needs IMO for the off season (some or all can be adressed in the draft) a ballhawking safety (not a hamlin fan) maybe earl thomas will fall to us (but doubtful) an inside linebacker maybe to replace brooking in the future and take carpenters spot for next year or year after (of course our 1st pick last year jason williams could step up and do this) we need to find a legit 2nd wr, preferrably a burner. miles austin last year had some big plays for large gains but a lot of those were him doing work after the catch. also 1 or 2 dlineman never hurt for depth purposes
we dont have that many needs for now going forward, just depth (we were very fortunate we werent that affected on the injury front last year)
so if i list my top 3 needs of the off season, it'd be safety, o-line and receiver (maybe it can be ogletree, he's not the burner we may need but i think he can be very productive)

.....Dez Bryant
How embarrassing for Steve Young to refer twice to the Cowboys pro bowl receiver at "Austin Miles".

Re: 2010 Draft
Very happy with this draft. I'm not one for gleefully accepting every pick as fantastic. But Bryant was very good value, Lee was solid value, Owusu-Ansah was overvalued on most draft boards but a very good value late in the 4th, 6th rounders I'm taking a wait and see, and I really like Lissemore's background and scouting report. Best I've felt during draft day(s) since 2006.
Taking Owusu-Ansah and Lissemore especially gave me great satisfaction as they were draft targets of mine before the draft.
