I don't think anyone was jumping ship or even ready too. It was just a bad half for the defense. The third down conversions were rough

yeah, wasn't sure about that post either. Defense definitely stepped up in the second half. We don't need them to be great, just "good enough"...

Let me ask this question.

In the 4th qtr ..It's 3rd and 3. We go no back field and it's an incomplete 12 or so yard pass.

Pass on that down ..fine, but why go no backfield ...why tip your hat to the leagues worst run defense?

Wierd play call. I don't know how many saw the Jax game but they ran that same play in about the same down and distance. Against Jax - WIlliams lost his footing coming back for the ball. In both cases, it almost looked as if Romo had little on the throw. Jarntt says no zip- to do that 2 times in two consecutive games tells me he is having trouble with throwing that route or maybe it is designed for WIlliams to come back to it. Either way, I scrap the play on 3rd down

Agree, but then again I've been making that claim about no RB for years so I may not be the best to comment if you expect a differing opinion. I will say (and not just because it worked) I liked the idea of an empty backfield to open up the shuttle pass to Witten. You can't go with a RB and FB and expect that play to work just because it would keep more defenders in that area of the field.

I don't see where anyone was wrong for what they said. It was only 14 to 10 and we were playing like ****. The first half defense was a resemblance of last yr. The refs did have a hand in allowing the Giants to score a free 7 points.

We were down 11. I didn't quit watching. If one wasn't pissed off watching that first half performance and consider themselves a Dallas fan, then they also must crap rays of sunshine.

The Giants have one player on their offense that would start for us. One. There was no reason to allow them 250 yrds and perfection on 3rd downs in one half.

Heres the thing BJJ. As much as I think PDay is on my jock the truth is it doesnt matter. When I look at his posts when he's talking about football at least he knows the game. While we disagree Ive even come to him for advice and he always helped me. I've agreed and disagreed with Jarnnt but the truth is I know he knows football and I have COMPLETE respect for him. I just got into a long drawn out disagreement with Manster but over the 10 years Ive known him he almost always comes strong. You see I know Im an Eagles fan and Im going to get crap for it. The truth is I deserve it. But one thing that we all know about you is you NEVER EVER EVER post anything dealing with football. When I was disagreeing with Manster he came back with opinions backed up with FACTS. The problem is you truly know NOTHING about football and are just relegated to jokes, "The Eagles are pansies", and insults. One thing I know to be completely true is if you ask any of them, even the ones who hate me, I know that they'll all say I know football a hell of a lot more then you. EVERYONE on this board tries to come with opinions supported by fact. EXCEPT YOU!

RomotTODez, currently you are my favorite poster on this board. You always come strong and are NEVER biased. One person posted "Game over before the half", one person (who I respect the most on this board CowboyColors) was saying the refs were cheating and he had given up on the game. I was just saying hang in there, theres a ton of time left. Even PDay agreed with me... according to his last post.

Malko me & you obviously have a difference of opinion on what jumping ship or sticking with your team is.

Being honest isn't bailing on your team. the Cowboys were looking like the old Defense where they never make a stop on 3rd down. A big reason the Cowboys would lose last year. We were playing like crap & was amazing to me why we were only down 14-10. kinda like when we would dominate a game but the score was still close. We would lose that game. Well that is what happened to the giants. They never put us away, even though they were outplaying us. Anyone that was happy with the 1st half of that game is either a fan with rose colored glasses or as a poster here often says. Football clueless.

I am neither of those things. I keep it real. Doesnt mean I am think the cowboys are sucking so I am not gonna root for them anymore. That would be bailing on the team or a fair weather fan. I am neither of those. I don't believe in the Garrett approach as a fan. Just clapping my hands uncontrollably no matter how bad it is. Doing the rah rah thing. That may be your approach, or how you feel all fans should act. But that isn't me, & I assure you I am a true Cowboys fan.
So again. We obviously have a difference of opinion on how a fan should be. You can keep your rose colored glasses!

far from gave up i stayed up the entire game and watched every snap. when i posted we had not yet made a single stop on defense and offense was getting lucky moving the ball. Play calling was terrible up to half.

The way they were playing lead us to believe that the game was about over. Game was going just slightly better than the Niners game and about equal to the Redskins game.

There aren't too many games that we play that I am able to rest easy. Those Jacksonville games only come every so often for us. We have came back from huge deficits and also blown them, but I'm not usually done intensely watching until the end.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
