Didnt realize (or maybe just forgot)

we have 26.7 mil in dead money this year.
We also have close to 4 mil surplus that can roll over to next year.

I think we end up keeping Meltons contract. I hope we don't have to restructure Romos contract, although I know they will just because that is what it is designed to do. But we can afford not to do it unless we bring in some big name.

We are sitting around 134 mil. right now for next year, which is about where this years cap is. So we will have what ever rollover we have plus what ever the cap grows to do the offseason stuff with. I think if we need to restructure a contract, go with a young guys like Ty Smiths. I would only want to restructures Romo's if we need a lot of money for some big signing. Which at this moment I cant see. (lots could change, but .... ) Would love to get a huge chunk of Romos contract out of the way now (again if we can afford to do it) so we don't have a ton of dead money in the end when he does retire.

Here is something that is kind of interesting that believe me crosses my mind every year. Even though he is not the main problem, how many teams that miss the playoffs 4 straight years keep the same Qb.

dunno, but Romo wasn't the problem with this team not being a playoff caliber team.
If we draft right or pick up players in key spots on defense this team could be a playoff caliber team next year.
