ESPN season report card

Post#1 » by RJ MacReady1 » Tue Jan 20, 2015 2:46 am

They put out a report card on all the teams. I copied just a section of Cowboys report called best moment.

http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas-cowboys/ ... eport-card

Best moment:

"After seeing a 21-point lead vanish at Philadelphia, the Cowboys offense answered with an eight-play, 78-yard drive that ended in a 2-yard touchdown run by Murray to give the Cowboys the lead for good in a 38-27 win.

With the season on the line and everybody screaming, "Same old Cowboys," the offense responded. In other years they might have wilted, but this year they fought back, finding the strength in Jason Garrett’s season-long message.

That win showcased that this team was different than the previous three that lost Week 17 finales to miss the playoffs and needed to be taken seriously in the postseason. On that drive, Romo hit Bryant for two gains of 22 yards, and Murray had a run of 21 yards. They were so efficient they did not get to third down on that drive. They silenced the crowd and, more importantly, silenced their critics.
"

I mentioned that drive a while back. Probably my proudest moment of the Cowboys in recent memory.
Jimmy Johnson use to say the most dangerous thing in a football game was a momentum change.

The Packers could not stop the momentum change yesterday. But the Cowboys did on that day .

Go Cowboys!

That's because we are a far superior team, right Malco?

It's a league of talent, yet talent alone won't win.

I think that's what Jerry as finally come to understand

My favorite moment was the entire Seattle game. Not just winning, but physically beating the **** out of the most physical, arrogant team around for 60 minutes in their house where, supposedly, no one can do that. It was only one win, but that game changed everything IMO. Oh, and the clutch game winning TD drive in the playoffs was a pretty good one too...

Team wise - I can't imagine anything being sweeter for them than the plane ride home from Philly. Individually - the DEz catch vs Houston was awful special. I will always remember Murrays TD run vs Seatlle as well. Those two plays were the most excited I got all yr I think. Awesome yr.
