What makes GB the 1 over Seattle. I think Seattles conference record is better

Seattle owns the tie break for #1 in a 3 way 12-4 tie

#1 seattle
#2 GB
#3 Dallas
#4 Panthers/Falcons
#5 Cards
#6 Lions

Seattle win week 16
Green Bay win week 17 Lions loss
Cards win in SF or loss
Seattle Win vs STL
Dallas win

Cards win tonight would flip Seattle with Cards in both seeds

No. Dallas is getting hot at the right time and the offense is playoff ready but Dallas isnt a top team in this league. The D is terrible. Put it this way... Philly proved to be not ready and smashed Dallas a few weeks ago and might have won last week if Sanchez wasnt a turnover king. Dallas is better then Philly but they are flawed. I know you're pumped and really excited as you should be. THey have the O to make some noise like how the Jets had the D to make some noise a few years ago but Dallas isnt one of the elite teams in the NFL. I think they can make a mini run. Can they beat Seattle again in Seattle? Possibly but not likely. Could they then turn around and beat GB in Lambeau? Maybe 5 out of ever 50 times but GB has the MVP at QB and he will dice that secondary up. But lets say it is one of those 5 out of 50 games.... then you think they will beat Brady or Manning with that secondary? Dallas is a good team. But the D is awful.

When I watched the Eagles and they were 9-3 and coming off a HUGE win against Dallas I knew it didnt matter. Philly has a bad D and that gets exposed in the playoffs. I mean Sanchez waxed Dallas a few weeks ago then almost did it again down 21-0. Dallas has a playoff calibre O but that D is bad. Very bad.

The only way Dallas gets a bye is a Seattle win tonight and then both Seattle and Cards lose next week along with a Dallas win. Any other outcome Dallas is the #3 seed.

no there is 1 more way but not likely and thats a GreenBay Detroit tie and that gives us the #1 seed with Seattle winning out.

I sit here corrected. Now as long as we include ties a Seattle win tonight along with that GB/Det tie and both Seattle and Arizona loss next week gives Dallas the #1 seed.

I'll vet against this happening.

I'll settle for #2 seed. I just want a bye.

No, only head to head, but it will likely be a 3 way tie which puts us on the wrong side of all tiebreakers due to Conference record

Are you sure about that? NFL Network is saying Dallas still has a shot the #2 seed. I think head to head is the 1st tie breaker.

It's possible. The Rams and Niners could be looking to play spoiler.

Well here is the bad thing- we play early. They both play late. With them playing at the same time , Seattle will have to play for the win so they can get the bye. If Arizona played early and lost then maybe Seattle would rest players and lose. I just don't think both wii lose especially Seattle at home.

Head to head is the first tie breaker if only 2 teams are involved. Most likely 3 teams are involved so head to head is eliminated and the tie breaker is conference record. Dallas is getting the 3 seed most likely and facing AZ, I think which is great.

Yep, early he looked good. Especially when he carved up the Cowboys secondary but he isnt a quality starter. Hes a top back up for 2 or 3 games but most teams dont have a #2 that can carry them for very long. He actually was gouging the Skins too and had 400 yards and like a 70% completion rate but he did what he has always done. Turn the ball over when it most counted. Im shocked Parkey missed a 21 and 31 yard FG. He was money all season.

Per the playoff machine if Dallas, Seattle, and Arizona all lose next week Dallas is the #2 seed.

Also the 6 seed will be either GB or Detroit barring a tie.

I understand being realistic and all but holy crap ..you got to know when to give it a rest for 2 seconds.
We could not beat Seattle, we did. No way beat the Eagles at home, we did. We can't beat the Colts, we did.

We go 11 and 4, win the Division with a game to spare and somehow not a single positive comment from most of you. Instead it's, This is a problem or we can't beat this team or that team.

Talk about depressing.

I think I'll go find a stage coach filled with nitroglycerin and drive it off a cliff.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
