LB - Von Miller.

If Forte were about 4 to 5 years younger he would be the guy I would want. I've always loved his game he's just on the wrong side of 30 now and had some nagging injuries this year. That's why I think Miller should be the guy.

Jefferies is another guy I would want to pair up with Dez. He has had some injuries but he's young and has great hands.

I don't see them bringing in a FA TE. They really like Swaim and Escobar has at least 1 more year on his deal. Besides no TE will have success in Dallas until Witten retires.

Norman is going to get PAID! I don't want the Cowboys being the one to write that check. A lot of his success comes from the fact that the Panthers have a dominant pass rush. Finneghan would be a solid CB that could come cheap. Eric Berry would be awesome but he won't be that cheap and the whole cancer thing scares me. Eric Weddle might be a cheap option. He's older though.

Humm, great D-line and pass rush. Who would ever get a good idea like that? Anyways, lets play a little game. Your the GM of the Dallas Cowboys right now and have the #4 pick. Steven and Jerry come up and hold loaded shot guns to your head and say, "pick the absolute Best DT". Who would you take?

Well if DT was the absolute only option at #4 I would take Billings from Baylor. Of the top 3 DT's he'd be the best replacement for Hayden. A'Shawn Robinson is a better fit for a 3-4 defense and DeForest Buckner basically plays the same position as Crawford.

I will say that I think it's a bit hypocritical that some of you are up in arms about taking a QB too high however are perfectly fine with taking a DT too high.

Just playing with you just a bit. I'm with you and still want Myles Jack with our number 1. I still want DT, preferably a 1-tech with our #2.

I think I've said it on this board but keep an eye on Austin Johnson from Penn St. He could be that 1-tech that they draft in the 2nd.

I would go along with that unless Billings falls out of the late first round and into our lap.

I don't see that happening at all. Billings is a top 10 talent. Now he may not go in the top 10 but his talent level is there. Worst case scenario for him I don't see him getting past 20. Billings would be great though.

I saw him going in a couple mock draft's, one at 27 and another one at 28.

We could always move up a few spots. Many possibilities if he falls to late in round one. We wouldn't have to give up much to move up 8-10 spots. I then would be totally elated. Myles Jack and Billings after round 1. Wow. I just might get excited about next year.

No love for Ronnie Hillman? I think he might be a better fit for us than Miller. I see a few guys over at the hoop feel the same way. When I sit and actually think about it, they could be right. He might be cheaper than Miller as well.

Hillman would be a pretty good option too. He's a different kind of runner than Miller and a little smaller. I just really like Miller's running style. He will likely be the top FA running back so you're right he will likely cost more than Hillman. Either would be a good fit though. Both are only 24 and both could be very productive behind the Cowboys OL.

Who's that DT on the Jets? Wilkerson, I think. Not sure if he is a free agent or not. Thought I heard he was, but not sure. I got to check it out. He might be the right disrupting DT we need if the price is right.

Insiders here in New England are saying the Patriots are gonna make a play for Matt Forte. Unbelievable. Sometimes I hate living in Maine.

That's actually a good fit for Forte, there or Seattle.

Wilkerson will probably get franchised. If he doesn't I'd definitely make a run at signing him. Nick Fairly is a FA too. He's a bit too lazy though.

Wait a second. Wilkerson, wasn't he the one that got into a scrape last offseason while doing a 145 mph with his kid in the back seat? Sorry, I changed my mind on him. I don't care how good he is. When you use that kind of judgement with a young child in the back seat is not what I look for in character.

I'd rather draft our defense. I want to save our $$$$$$ for Miller and Jefferies, if we have a shot at them.

Wow. Just heard the Steelers will be releasing D'Angelo Williams this afternoon. Bell just signed a big contract last year before he got hurt and the Steelers are committed to him. Don't guys feel, but I think he would be a nice fit for us behind our O-line.

I'd replace Dunbar with him. Williams showed he was done yet last year. He's 32 years old though.

Return to Dallas Cowboys
