Myles Jack has been fully cleared by doctors regarding last year's knee injury. Not sure if that changes anyone's mind or not. I'm staying pat since last season ended. DT and LB. Been saying Buckner, Jack and Billings for months now. I'm still going with it. Both will be pro bowlers by year 2.

Funny because I heard the exact opposite about Myles Jack's knee. I read that it didn't check out fine. Based on this though I guess it just depends on who you ask.

#UCLA LB Myles Jack's medical recheck is over. "Differing opinions." Some teams thought the healing wasn't fast enough. Others are OK it.

My concern is that a torn meniscus could turn into a reoccurring injury issue. Within the next couple of years (before his rookie contract is up) he's likely going to end up with a degenerative knee. Also he hurt the knee in September. We're now in mid April and he still hasn't run. I've known non-athletes that made a quicker return from a torn meniscus. That's a HUGE concern for me. Especially considering what we've gone through with Sean Lee.

What separate Jack from all of the other LB's is his superior athletic ability. With a bum knee that takes away what makes him special. I wouldn't go anywhere near him with the 4th overall pick.

My concern is we only have one LB and he is injury prone. You are so HORNY for a back up QB that you haven't realized the LB is our weakest position on the whole team. Do we have to go another 20 years before realizing that ignoring the defense for show time doesn't win games and has always historically been proven in the Jerry Jones era. I don't know what more to say till football season starts back up and we get more posters in here to banter with. The eye test, the numbers, etc., have been right there in front of our eyes this whole time. :banghead:

Believe me I'm very aware that we need LB's. There is only 1 on the roster that I trust long term and that's Hitchens. So I wouldn't have a problem at all if they drafted a LB in the first, just not Myles Jack. I heard a perfect comparison for him today, Jonathan Vilma. Will be really good for about 4-5 years and then have to retire because of injuries. Why not trade down and draft a true MLB. Reggie Ragland is a beast in the middle. With him and after adding Thornton the run defense would be shored up. If the Eagles draft Elliot they're going to help in the middle.

Sorry guys. Been very confused the past 2 days. All these new reports regarding Myles Jack is the total opposite of what I was hearing. I have to cave in and bow down to you guys. Too risky to take Jack even though he is the best athlete in this year's draft. I'm totally back on the Deforest Buckner draft bandwagon.

Never underestimate the Iggles' ability to do something that confounds even their most ardent fans. You give a big bag of money to a QB for two years... you give a big bag of money to a backup QB for three years... and now you basically gut your draft to move up where you almost HAVE to draft a QB.

And we thought the Rams gave up the house.

Even though things have been difficult for us the past 20 years, news like this about the Egals has kept me in stitches for almost 4 hours tonight. My laughter got to the point I was laughing so loud it appeared to look like I was crying. Such pleasant new to me in this Philly deal. 5 Picks for Wentz. The Egals are one team in our division we won't have to worry about for at least 3 years. And I bet Bradford is wild knowing its just a matter of time he is traded or let go at the end of the season. Major disfunction for the Egals this year. Keep that trophy case empty, lmao.

Well - I guess we know we have to take a DE now.

Welcome to the Cowboys Joey Bosa!

Well, he may be on suspension soon if we take him. Major red flag with him also. Wait till you guys find out why he was suspended for game 1 of last season. It hasn't come out yet.

That was covered in some detail today on The Ticket. All in all, I wasn't too concerned afterward. Regardless of whether he or Ramsey land here, we get a good player.

Here's my bigger concern - and one which was covered in great detail today and one that the Cowboys need to fix. Take a look at our draft picks from Rounds 3 through 7 since 2009.

It's ugly. Really bleeping ugly.

Its been horrendous for years. I'm not all that much on the Steven Jones bandwagon either. Yes, he has got us out of salary cap hell. But really outside of that, besides hitting on Fredrick, Martin and Jones, what else do we have to show for anything? Hardy, Lawrence, Gregory, McClain, Randall and McFadden. Whoopty doo.

If this guy is there at pick 34 I would love for the Cowboys to draft him. A rotation of Crawford/Billings/Thornton/Irving would greatly improve the inside run defense.

I see Billings going as high as # 22. I don't see that happening or us getting him unless we trade back and gain a pick somewhere. I'd still like another Lb and am still interested in Dixon. My head is in constant spin mode today.

Ever since the Dione Sanders contract we have gone down hill with trades, drafts, etc,. 2 days ago I read an awesome article about this exact thing. Can't remember if it was on fox, yahoo or ESPN. Our old scouting and recruiting master, Gil Brant had an article describing what you posted about our drafting from round 3-9. You should see who he thinks we should take. I bet you would love the article.

Their 2nd pick is going to be very interesting. I've heard that they're hoping Sheldon Rankins drops to 34 (not likely) and I've heard the Cowboys are looking to trade back in the bottom of the 1st to draft Connor Cook (in order to get the 5th year). Hell, I've even heard they are looking to trade up for a WR (Josh Doctson).

If we take Ramsey at #4, we can still get a real good DT, LB or Dixon in round 2. I don't think we will get Dixon in round 3. Love to have Billings though. Wonder If we make a move on Lynch, if he falls deep in round 1. He is the QB in this year's draft I like the best.

Bosa getting selected early must have made many of you happen.
It seemed as if every mock had him falling to us.

Barring injury, we should be more than just fine on offense. I just wonder who the odd Rb is out and why we signed Morris.
