Not sure what to make of this. What is the front office doing? Are they trying to still him out?

The Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb fines at $1.5M and counting if he doesn't show for their opening preseason game vs the Los Angeles Rams.

I honestly don't even know who to point a finger at. Jerry shouldn't be playing hard ball over the media air, but to his defense look at the mics they just shove in Jerry's face. Jerry isn't searching that out. This stuff kind of gets thrust onto to him.

But also Lamb...I mean, how many other businesses models out there where the employee can openly laugh at his employer in the public eye? NONE. In pretty much any other business Lamb would be fired on the spot here. I Just don't like the entire set up that professional sports has created. There are no real relationships, there is no real respect for one another. MONEY IS KING to these guys and it's not even hidden any more.

I love Lamb, he is my favorite Cowboy. But you would not see this behavior with Dak, or probably half the roster for that matter. Lamb is acting out like a diva.

My 2 takeaways from yesterday afternoon…

- Mazi Smith was OK. Not great and not awful. OK.
- Lance is nothing more than “a guy”. Cooper Rush has nothing to fear there.

And the defense getting 4 turnovers, the offense getting 4 FG’s and the team losing in the final seconds is so on brand it isn’t funny.

Onward…

Lance looks good on his feet and poor with his arm, basically the complete opposite of Cooper Rush.

As long as he’s moving he looks good on his feet. When he gets ready to throw, his footwork is bad and results in those high throws receivers either don’t have a chance for or gets receivers killed.

He’s definitely a Wildcat threat.

Because they were really that damn good.

Because I am not a computer wiz or able to cut and paste like most of you in here are fully capable of, lets do it this way. On August 6, the day before this post, please go to Sportshoopla's Dallas Cowboy forum. Under the "Some miscellaneous stuff" thread, page 352. A little over halfway down the page look for a poster named Sir Robin Of Camelot, read his post and tell us what you think. :falloff: :falloff: :falloff: :falloff: :falloff: :falloff: No wonder why you were considered one of the most hated posters, back stabbers and drama queens that helped take down the forum at the time. :ouch:

If they could bottle his work last night against the Raiders and build on tray, I could be convinced he might be a solution going forward. Problem is I’d bet the Niners thought the same once or twice.

He looked pretty good! But still so early, and pre-season playing against non-starters. It's nice to see that he is at least capable of playing well.

The reality is that he is just here as semi-insurance in the event that Dak leaves. But it's good to see that it's working out so far, because it is possible this is Dak's last season here.

For me there have been 3 guys that have stood out in camp and preseason, Tyler Guyton, Cooper Beebe, and Brandon Aubrey.

Tyler Guyton is an effing stud LT. He still has some mechanical errors but overall he looks like the Cowboys hit again on a premier lineman. Beebe had some early struggles at Center but has looked really good lately. Whether he plays Center or ends up playing Guard this kid also looks like a stud lineman (mostly in the run game though).

As for Brandon Aubrey, Cowboys won’t have to worry about the kicker position for a while. A 66 yard kick is insane. He will likely win more games for Dallas and Dak, especially early in the season.

I really think Jerry is preparing to hit sort of a reset button on the team. I have no doubt that they’re going to resign Lamb. I think Jerry is just eating up all the publicity that is coming out about CeeDee not being signed yet. Remember Jerry’s creed, there’s no such thing as bad publicity. If they’re talking about you it’s a good thing, free advertising.

They’re going to let Dak walk after the season. They will then resign Mike McCarthy and draft a QB in the middle rounds. Lantz and whoever that kid is will have an open competition next year for the starting job. I think Jerry really likes MM and the way he works with QB’s. MM also hasn’t really done enough to get fired. They should also be able to revamp their running back room through the draft next off season so any new QB will be coming in with a young good OL (young expect Martin of course), strong running game, and an extremely rich CeeDee Lamb to throw to.

I also think they explore trading Micah Parsons next off season too. Especially if Marshawn Kneeland shows up as a rookie.

I definitely think that Lamb has way more impact to the team than Parsons does. Like if we lost Lamb? The offense would be straight garbage. He is the key that makes it all function. But if we lost Parsons? Yeah the defense would be worse but we still have some guys that can get pressure. They'd suffer much less than the offense losing Lamb. So if we have to pick one it needs to be Lamb. Both will be the highest paid at their spots.

I hope you're wrong about McCarthy. I know it's the trend to blame Dak for the Packers game but the reality is that every single player on the team sucked that game, no one was prepared, and when it's across the board like that? Has to fall on the HC. This needs to be his do or die season.

I hope I’m wrong too however when you look at the big picture he’s guided the team to three straight 12 win seasons (two division titles). Most importantly though he’s a Jerry Jones “yes man”. Jerry has shown he’s not afraid to stick with a coach as long as he toes the company line.

As for CeeDee there are already reports today that the two sides are close on a deal. Jerry has been doing all this for publicity. This deal likely gets done in the week prior to the start of the regular season.

You guys won't believe me, but I had a dream that Jerry sold the team. Everyone here showed up at the press conference including Bjj. Wild stuff.

I guess what he said is really true, we're all just living in Jerry's world.
